I’m Emily, I’m 38 and live in North Essex with my husband, Matt, my son, Harrison and our big brown bear, Pippa.

I’m a Frenchie (huge fan). I love comedy and going to the theatre. I’m a sugar addict. Love anything sweet related. I’d prefer to go out for an afternoon tea than go to a nightclub, but I do love to have a dance with my friends so thinking about it maybe I need to invent a tearoom which turns into a daytime disco? 💃🏼🎂💃🧁

Cornwall is my favourite place and I try to visit at least once a year. I love flowers (obvs) and nothing makes me happier than sitting in my garden when it’s in bloom with the sun on my face, a cup of tea in hand and a big slice of cake. It’s the little things 🌸🌺🌷🌻🌼🌹🌸🌺💐🌼

Hi everyone, As I’m so rubbish with social media I’ve decided to join in with Todays topic is brand origin.

I first started Field Of Dreams when I made my own flowers for my wedding almost 10 years ago now. I was getting married in Mexico and wanted to take my own flowers with me so decided artificial was the way to go. I was a florist for 4 years when I left school, then left the profession to do other jobs (doing bits of floristry in between). I loved working with artificial flowers when I worked in the florist but the selection of artificial blooms was very limited to what it is today. It’s even changed a lot since I made my wedding bouquet 10 years ago. There is so much more variety now.

When I had a bridal dress fitting before my wedding, I took my bouquets in with me to see what they looked like with our dresses and the ladies in the shop absolutely loved the bouquets I’d made and asked for some of my business cards as they’d like to recommend me to other brides. I didn’t have business cards as I didn’t have a business. After some thought and a bit of planning I got some business cards made and Field Of Dreams began.

Hello everyone! It’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything on here, over 6 months! Obviously with the majority of weddings cancelled at the beginning of the year my business was hugely effected. Then weddings were finally back on (hooray 🙌🏼) but (like with many industry’s) there have been some major issues getting the stock I need to create all the lovely bouquets etc… so I’ve had to turn down work. The past year, with all its knock backs has made me think about what I want to do long term and whether or not to continue with Field Of Dreams. I love what I do but I’m unsure on the future at the moment.

However, it seems I’m slowly starting to get the stock I need again to make some beautiful things for you all so with a bit of luck - full service will hopefully be resumed very soon 🤞🏻

I’ve still managed to do a few lovely weddings this year. These are some photos from the beautiful Aimee & Isaac’s Wedding at a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely loved creating all of the flowers for this wedding. The wedding was originally going to be taking place in the Dominican Republic (hence the tropical theme) but after many rebookings/ cancellations the wedding had to take place in the UK so we softened the bouquets with some pampas and added some more ivory. So pleased with the results 💗
