It’s my mum who first gave me an appreciation for flowers. “Look at the snowdrops”, she would point out to me as the new growth broke free from the cold winter ground. She’d say the same about Crocuses and daffodils, roses and hydrangeas when their time came. Thanks mum, I now get it! Nature just has so many benefits - it calms the soul, helps you breathe and it looks pretty good too. It was after working in the fast-paced world of design for 20 years that I knew it was time for a change. The art of creating beautiful designs within a client’s budget, and delivering something on time which wows comes as second nature to me. Yet sitting in front of a computer screen just didn’t have the same effect on me as being surrounded by nature, and so I decided to retrain as a florist. I still get to deliver designs that wow - but now they are beautiful blooms. After spreading my wings and working in Asia and Australia, my experiences combined with the people I met along the way inspired me to set up Jewels of Nature. I’m now truly living my dream. My eyes light up when I talk about flowers and I promise you that same passion will be portrayed in whatever wonderful floral designs I create for you. WEDDINGS Being a part of your wedding is a real privilege, and I want your flowers to be the perfect accessory to the rest of your vision. To help me create a bouquet or centrepieces that you’ll always remember, I like to get to know a little about you. This helps the process remain personal, guaranteeing your flowers will be a reflection of your very own love story. We will arrange an initial consultation where we discuss the style of your wedding, ensuring that the colour and design of your flowers compliment your special day in every way. If you have yet to decide on the overall look of your wedding than an initial consultation with myself is the ideal opportunity to get ideas flowing. Bespoke mood boards and sketches bring to life what we have talked about, allowing you to see your floral designs come together in front of your eyes. This gives you full confidence in the end result. Whether you are having a small intimate wedding, or a larger family gathering, I will deliver beautiful design solutions which work within your budget and have the wow factor all your guests will love. The right flowers really do bring a room to life, and Jewels of Nature will design the perfect arrangement for your special occasion. EVENTS Jewels of Nature can create professional and stunning arrangements which provide the finishing touches to your event. From a launch party to a family celebration, and everything in between, I will work with you to produce floral designs which take your event to the next level. I understand how important it is for every detail of your event to pull together in order to produce an occasion that people will never forget. That’s why I work with you to design mood boards so that you can have as much or as little creative input as you like, whilst still being confident in the end product. This allows you to have peace of mind that on the day every detail is going to be just as you envisioned it. I pride myself on providing beautiful flowers for funerals, always ensuring that these represent the person you are honouring. If they were full of life then big and bold blooms are the way to go.
