Hazy IPAs are really fun to pair with food! Tesseract is an exceptional Double IPA from Artisanal Ales in Brooklyn. Soft and lightly sweet with tons of tropical fruit aroma, I'm looking forward to trying this beer with crunchy fried fish tacos with mango coleslaw or a Nashville hot chicken sandwich with hoppy pickles.

Massachusetts Craft Beer Week, the yearly celebration of all things beer in the Bay State, is just about 6 weeks away!

Is your brewery looking for someone who can work with you and other local vendors to put together events such as a beer pairing with local cheese, chocolate, or baked goods?

Maybe there’s a style you want to celebrate and want a Certified Cicerone on hand to do a fun deep dive into the history and making of it.

Chicken piccata has an understated elegance to it. But at its heart, it's just fried chicken! In my opinion, the best fried chicken is brined in buttermilk. So that's what I did.

The bright, briny sauce is enhanced by the zest of Meyer lemons and salt-packed capers from the Italian island of Pantelleria—the best in the world! Low-key fancy.

Everyone has to eat! Some folks just don't like to cook or don't know how.

My meal prep clients are typically busy professionals or active families who want to buy back some precious time. They might even enjoy cooking sometimes, but have conflicting priorities. If you value good and nutritious food, you know it's a lot of work to plan, shop, cook, and clean up. And if you have dietary restrictions, it's basically a full time job!

Basque cheesecake is ugly. It sinks, it cracks. The parchment it cooks in is crumpled and scorched on the edges. It is burnt! It looks like something has gone horribly wrong. But looks can be deceiving! Inside, the custard is smooth, creamy, and simultaneously rich and bright (with the addition of Meyer lemon zest).

Developed in the '90s by Santiago Rivera, the "tarta de queso vasca" has since earned its spot as one of the world's great desserts, and one of my favorites to make!

I had a bunch of leftover pistachio shells from an event last week. Seemed like a shame to throw them out so I decided to experiment and use them to smoke some chicken breast—turns out it works great!

The smoke imparts a subtle but distinctive nutty, pistachio-y flavor. I dressed it up on a bed of arugula with some cherry tomatoes, oregano, marinated olives, and Styrian pumpkin seed oil.
