Lemme guess… all you brides to be…the FIRST thing people ask when they find out you’re engaged is...⁣

✨Have you picked a date?!✨⁣

Am I right?! I’m guilty of even doing this with my own friends. 🤦🏼‍♀️ ⁣

But the reality of it all, you don’t have to scramble looking for a date. There shouldn’t be any pressure. You CAN take your time. You shouldn’t feel the need to get one figured out the SECOND you’ve given the ring. ⁣
That’s why I wanted to give you a few tips on how to choose a wedding date and some things to think about when doing just that...⁣

👉🏼 Think about the season. What kinda weather gets you most excited?! Warm? Cold? Do you want to get married inside or outside? Many times this can become a factor in what season choose.⁣

👉🏼 What colors do you want? Sometimes the season can dictate your wedding colors. Typically, fall and winter tend to look best with darker colors. Whereas spring and summer look better with light. Although, I’m a HUGE advocate of doing whatever the hell you want. 🤣⁣

👉🏼 Check in with your circle of people you absolutely MUST have at your wedding. While you shouldn’t adhere to every single person, because it is in fact your big day, it’s totally understandable to really want your maid of honor or brother to be there.⁣

👉🏼 Do you want a long or short engagement? How much time do you need to plan a wedding?! I’ve personally seen people do it in two months and people do it in two years. It’s all dependent on what you want and are most comfortable with.

⁣👉🏼 Do you want a weekend or weekday. While getting married on a weekday sounds out of the ordinary, it actually happens more often than you think. Along with that, if you’re balling on a budget... many times you get a much lower price for doing just that.
