I know I'm a few days past graduation but I can't not post these from this gorgeous girl's senior session. I've slowed down with my work these days but one of the benefits is that I get to hang out with some of my favorite families. Natalie's sister is known as "Mr. Eggman" in our house... mainly because of a game she played with my kids when she was babysitting them. I've had the privilege of taking their family pictures for years and absolutely adore every single one of them. If you get a second, make sure to ask her mom about the sweater. Best. Tradition. Ever.

These next few posts are dedicated to some pretty incredible Between trying to juggle my internship at the and the privilege I've had to capture this major milestone for these kids, I've definitely had my hands full. But I can't let the opportunity pass without a shout out to each of these incredible young people who are going to make our world a better place.

I'm not sure where the time goes, but somehow it manages to check my sense of how quickly it seems to slip through my fingers. Last weekend I had the opportunity to take the lovely 's senior pictures. I've been taking her family's pictures for years and it's just been so fun to see all 8(!) of their kids grow up and become such wonderful people. Here's to your next chapter gorgeous girl! You are going to do such good and great things!

I promise I'm not completely M.I.A. I've been busy.. so busy.. but SUPER neglecting my social media accounts. 😬So here I am.. trying to get a little bit caught up.

Over the past few weeks I've had the opportunity of volunteering time to help create content and documenting the very first in . The project was absolutely incredible but was definitely consuming. The Light the World Giving Machines have finished their stint in SA, and are currently up in Dallas Fort Worth making their debut. If you haven't been, you definitely need to go! It's such a great experience!

Anyway.. I wanted to get this sneak peek up before my next session. And can we just pause for a moment... Aren't the fall tones in these shots just dreamy?!? There really isn't anything more perfect than when all of the natural colors in the landscape, clothing choices (good job ) family dynamics... dare I even say skin tones(??) work in perfect, synchronous harmony together. It's one of the great privileges I've had these 17 years(!), capturing blissful moments and freezing time and seeing all of the efforts my clients make to get the perfect picture pay off. I think that's the big pay off for me... when I can see it through my lens and know without a doubt that they are just going to love what we've created together. It's really so beautiful. Enjoy! Last weekend my family and I had the opportunity of heading out to and Muleshoe Bend Recreation Area with my in-laws. The Bluebonnets have been a little sparse down in this year and I knew they were kind of blooming up that direction. Halee Weaver and her cute family met us up there for pictures and I'm SO glad they did. I absolutely adore the pictures of her little trio of kiddos.

Well hello there!!

Yesterday I was doing some studying and this little guy came and sat on a limb just outside my window.. the benefits of living in a two story house with mature oak trees just outside of the windows! He just sat there.. curious.. and ate all the caterpillars crawling out of their cocoons.

And here we are. Having just crossed the border where winter meets spring. Her warmth lingers further into the evening and slips through winter’s weary fingertips, relinquishing her grip on life, creation and new beginnings. Spring is evidence that death is but a slumber and life overcomes.

I LOVE this time of year.. the light.. the warm sunsets and the people I get to hang out with.

I've been waiting for just the right moment to catch my breath and post photos from this session last fall. It's so gloomy outside today.. and cold.. yeesh! The warmth of the light in the photos reminds me of everything fall. Isn't the lighting incredible? I'm such a fan! Enjoy!

Every once in awhile something completely magical happens.. and a deer walks out into the golden and poses for your family pictures. I kid you not. These shots were taken months ago and I still talk about it. There I was.. shooting away.. and into the corner of my frame I see two big ears pop up out of the long grass. This beautiful deer must have been snoozing and then woke up in the middle of a photo shoot. It was amazing. Also, have I mentioned how much I absolutely love the warmth of fall light? Yeesh. It's one of my absolute favorite things.

Years ago I used to hold Valentine's mini-sessions (we're talking circa 2014). They were an epic production to put together, but I'm so grateful for the sweet families I met during that time. We had just moved here from Utah and I was working to help support my family through that transition. These guys were one of my firsts and they've stuck with me since. It's been an absolute privilege to see their family grow throughout the years. Hinojosa
