It has been a heck of a long time since I have posted on my page but thought this was the most fitting photo to start with ♥ Moved back to Durham in south Ajax, a beautiful home in an amazing neighbourhood ♥ a 5 minute walk to Lake Ontario which will be amazing come summer with the toads! I am beyond tickled pink to be back so close to my children and grand-toads 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸 XOXO One more semester and I will FINALLY have my degree completed!!! Honours BA in Environmental Geography and looking at doing my Masters come fall! An amazing Professor has been encouraging me to do it so I think I just might! So, so happy right now ♥ It was an awesome Christmas with everyone together & onto many more celebrations 🥳

I honestly have no idea how I went to University and raised two wee peanuts and had a social life LOL guess that is the difference between early thirties and early sixties? It is all good but damn so draining, as well my interests have changed, obviously! And work keeps me busy and this old doll does not like doing dish, but she does ... retail truly is not an option any longer at this stage of my life! I deal with enough bitchy and snarky people on the day why would I go to work to deal with that nonsense? As this semester comes to a close I am tickled pink that I can see the finish line ♥ A lot of blood sweat & tears. I am so grateful for my 3 mini me's down south whom I miss to bits & who have been my rocks through this latest transition in me finding my nemo moment ;) I miss them so much and my grand toads, I will probably move back down south once I am done in December! This was my sabbatical to finally finish something I started so long ago, and I truly needed to be alone for this, odd as it sounds ♥ very little distraction & 100% focus to focus! Discussing my Masters with my prof on Monday shall keep y'all posted! Peace out XOXO

Well, have not posted in quite some time as I am still trying to figure out if I am coming or going 🥺 University is going quite well and next week is reading week so a lot of studies to get done! It's all good or at least somewhat, my job sucks the life right out of me, for all of the "wrong" reasons, but hopefully will be dealing with that sooner than later! Still cooking and trying to nourish the brain and this dinner was awesome 😋 Love salmon and a lovely salad 🥗

well the weather was much better today! minus 20ish ;) a delish whiskey jack marinated steak with an awesome boston leaf lettuce salad and a super tasty lemon bar cake 🎂 it's all about the cake ;) 2 quizzes under my belt 80 and 100 % respectively, happy about that for sure but another 11 each in each course so have to keep my head down to the grind! trying to stay postive & she is a damn challenge right now! here is to longer days and getting my paws into the soil to start planting 🌱🌼🌸🌺 P.S. Rocky loved his steak bits 🐾🐾🐾 my wee rockstar ♥

Well after one of the most depressing days I have had since my move back to the Bay, today I awakened to - 41C but the sun was shining 🌞 hunkered down with one project almost done which is due tomorrow night with more on the burner for tomorrow! Not sure what is wrong with me but I know that I miss my family so frigging much :( that it hurts & again why the hell did I move back here??? Oh right to finish my degree which in hindsight I could have done down south, seeing as it is all online 🤦‍♀️, anyhoodles enough of crying over spilled milk as the saying goes right? Not really but I will plug along like a good girl & look forward to what? of that I am not sure at this stage of the game! I just keep cooking, learning, eating & hanging out with my pooch Mister Rockstar - he truly is my only hope of sanity at this point in the game 🤪 On a lighter note it is only - 27 tonight with NO windchill ;) & our new gas fireplace is humming along quite nicely! Finally found salmon on sale at Sobeys created my own honey marinade and it was delish 👩‍🍳

WELL, another covid Christmas in the books 😭 had to cancel my plans down south, pretty near broke my heart ... one of my daughters sicker than a dawg with this evil virus and my eldest and her entire family in isolation due to a close contact ... tried to make the best of it! did a small bird which was so yummy and ate like a queen! All of the presents are packed up for a Christmas in July event at Tay Tay & Alexis's big backyard & already planning & looking forward to a good ole fashioned Summertime Party 🥳Missing my children so much & of course the fierce five toadstools 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸 July cannot come fast enough ♥ Another semester then off I go 🥰

Happy to find a fairly small bird, but sad that I will not be going South for Christmas 😭 I feel it is just too dangerous right now! Better safe than sorry and we will celebrate Christmas at either Easter or during the summer months .... will pack up all the prezzies and all my baking is in the freezer so that damn mouse cannot get it 🐭 Will be just as fun to see the toads faces opening their gifts does not matter when as long as we are all safe right now ♥

Well today was a sh*tty day & a half, up at 5 am with the damn trots 💩💩💩 spent the entire day in front of my laptop writing my last essay for that god forsaken academic writing class!!! I truly have never detested a course as much as this one - I would prefer science over this any day of the week 😭 my schedule got all screwed up at work and now I have no idea when I am working FFS!!!! got kicked out of the work shoppe, apparently you are not allowed to ask them to post pictures of your product? ya a sh*tty few days & I am feeling them right now, thank gawd for my wee Rockstar ♥♥♥ oh & baking 👩‍🍳 a special order for a fellow at work ♥ Thanks Peter your support is greatly appreciated! well it has been a whirlwind of activity on the home front 🎄☃🐾 University is humming along, better than expected, building up my confidence and getting more into the swing of things! It has been a challenge but apparently one I am up for 🥰 Rocky and mumsey have quite the groove on now that it is so damn cold up here ;) we LOVE our nappy poos when we can fit them in 🐾 he is such a cuddly puppy & he truly is my ground whilst I am up here, by my choice, all alone. Been cooking, baking & creating up a storm in my spare time - which is precious, work is going good slowed down but hopefully Christmas will be busier! Fingers crossed that I will be moseying my way down south to see my 3 gorgeous babies & my 5 gorgeous grand toads ... More delish creations from my wee kitchen ♥ Man I LOVE COOKING!!! Life has a strange way of moving along, especially for moi 🧐 I feel like I am at a roadblock with my schooling ... not sure how to iterate how it is going, but here it is! I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be able to return to a level of education many are not afforded, but my confidence level is waning as I feel that possibly I bit off more than I can chew ... I am doing ok, I am on task, not falling behind, but my marks are not were I thought they would be :( so doing the pity party kind of thing & my son thinks I am nutz LOL well apparently I am to be doing this at 61 🤣 I will plow forward until Christmas then re-assess - 6 month plans have always guided me in my life & here is to unforeseen chaos for me & the pooch for the next 6 weeks 🐾 Wish me luck & happy eating 🥩🥒🥓🍅🧄🧅🍰🥂

Just thought I would share some of my foodie pics from the last month & a bit 😘 been so damn busy with work, life, my pooch & now University 🙃 I have been somewhat tardy with my beloved page Wild Angels Delicacies ♥ it's my wee page about me & it truly has turned into my therapist over the years ♥ kind of like a blog to just put my thoughts down to paper & post foodie pics that make me happy! So here are a few of the creations that I have managed to create during a super busy time in my World! My studies are humming along & will only ramp up as mid terms are next week!!! YIKES!!! Thinking I am somewhat organized & seeing as this is study week, I need to hunker down, stay focused & read, read, read oh and then read some more ;) An awesome visit with my young lad for giving of thanks weekend 🍁 but off he left & feeling somewhat melancholy ... sometimes I sit & ponder whether I made the right decision, but I know in my heart of hearts I did! No idea why, but had a hankering for homemade meatballs 🍝 & fresh homemade Roma pasta sauce 🍅🍅🍅 maybe a day off & the gorgeous cooler air made me do it ;) Anyhoodles was delish & devoured the entire plate! A bucket of leftovers for work tomorrow at the Station 🚂 Now off for a slice of Black Forest Cake! 🍰
