Celebrating 7-Monthâs Clean, today.
Here it is, my premiere mix as the dj, simply going by, 1:20.
I purchased the controller a month into my recovery, on May 22. I had never used the software and had no knowledge of beats, bars, phrases ~ but I have, for a long time. Now, had in underlying desire to be the dj that I wanted to see, in the city. I showed a stranger a magic trick at 5:30am, and he said he was a dj in the area. I told him thatâs something Iâve been wanting to do but my brain canât separate left and right with music. He said that I could do it. I went and bought an entry level controller the next day. That was 6 monthâs ago.
If you decide to watch & listen, I suggest a dark room with incredible sound.
I take such great pride in this release, for a handful of good reasons.

Phase 3: Happiness
I was trying so hard for so long to seek external validation through the arts of professional wrestling, magic, video editing, public speaking, and sleeping around.
Iâve recently discovered that there are key aspects of each of those âlovesâ of mine that I can find new, exciting ways to be happy in life, as a 28 year old white dude who had a picture-perfect American Dream family fairy-tale of no mental, physical, spiritual, or emotional abuse from anyone within my family.
Iâm extremely lucky. Iâve been living an entitled lifestyle of false sense of importance over my entire life.
It turns out, that the things that most make ME â EVAN CLOYD/JAREK120 â A 28 YEAR OLD NERDY KID THAT LOVED MAGIC AND PRO WRESTLING FOR 15 YEARS AND CHANGED OTHER PEOPLEâS LIVES IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE SOMETHING THAT ULTIMATELY LEAD TO ME UNDERSTANDING ITâS NOT MAGIC AND PRO WRESTLING THAT MADE ME **HAPPY**
It was storytelling.
My physical side was exercised because of my passion of telling a story in the world of pro wrestling. It also allowed me to tell a story without even speaking, pure body performance art.
My brain got stimulated with video editing and video producing, EVERYTHING VIDEO CREATING â directing, writing, conception to completion â I LOVE the process and I love the problems that can come with being a storyteller in the world of video production.
Visual storytelling is extremely important aspect of what makes me happy. Telling a story to strangers and hearing stories that trigger an emotional response. THATâS what makes me happy â hearing and telling well-told stories that are worth hearing about.
Public Speaking is literally me just telling my life story and trying to create an emotional response to someone in the crowd that might prevent them from bringing harm to themselves. Itâs important work! (Kevin Smith said it was important work, he also got me to try being Vegan â another STORY I told myself that I didnât like Vegan food because I donât like vegetables and Veganâs are pu***es and hippies and stupid and weird and why would you ever stop eating red meat? Long story short, thereâs yummy food out there that exists for a reasonable price thatâs actually good for me, and Iâm a FAT KID AT HEART! I LOVE TRASH COMFORT FOOD LIKE PIZZA HUT AND MCDONALDS AND BUFFALO WILD WINGS!)
Even meeting, interacting, attracting, and ultimately either being in long-term relationships and then trying to find the next girl when Iâm single. Find the next girl that Iâd like to be my next long-term relationship. But when I remove the external validation behind why I enjoyed flirting and meeting girls and talking to as many of them as possible is because thereâs a very real, very human experience, in storytelling to and with someone to trigger an emotional response of some kind to get us to bond in the closest way two humans can â s*x.

Some time has passed since I was writing this. Itâs Halloween 2018 today and I have two happy dogs here wanting my attention. Iâm gonna give it to them and take Katlin to express her creative self freely with a new haircut!
I only make decisions based on what makes me happy. What makes me happy isnât going to 100% fall in line with what makes you happy, and thatâs okay! Thatâs what makes us, us. Our own thoughts, our own perspective, our own paradigm, our own body.
You are the only thing in this life that you truly own. So own it.
