Now that Halloween has passed is it ok to start talking about Thanksgiving or is it straight to Christmas? I am excited to announce that a big pot of chicken and sausage gumbo will be served this Thanksgiving!! I know most people don't associate gumbo with Thanksgiving dinner but trust me it is a signature dish in Cajun Country and you don't want to miss out!!

Such a heavy heart as I see the images of devastation from Hurrican Ida to a place I dearly love. This is why I have decided to donate 100% of the proceeds from this cook for the recovery efforts. Money raised will go to a local Louisiana-based organization. I have experienced firsthand many natural disasters during my life in South Louisiana. More than anything I want to be there to help in the rebuilding but I will have to do my part from afar! Please consider supporting the recovery efforts. Louisiana you are beloved!!

After moving to South Carolina in 2017 I quickly learned that if I wanted to continue to enjoy Cajun cuisine I would have to cook it myself.
