Lake Erie Events is looking to bring on a new team member to help with our day-to-day office tasks. The Office and Event Manager will organize and coordinate office administration and event-prep procedures. We are looking for an energetic professional who doesn't mind meeting with clients, selling our services, and preparing our team for each event.
This person should be experienced in handling a wide range of management and administrative tasks, and be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person should be well organized, flexible sometimes 7 days a week, and enjoy the stress and challenges of working with live events.
Pay is negotiable. This position is generally part-time with odd hours. Some weeks and seasons of the year will require only a few hours a week, and the busiest times of the year will require 30-40 hours a week.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate schedules, appointments, and bookings with customers and staff.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints.
- Organize and host meetings and appointments with clients.
- Organize office operations and event prep procedures.
- Provide music, timeline, technical, and equipment prep for the team.
- Manage the staff's schedules, calendars, and appointments.
- Point person for maintenance, mailing, shipping, supplies, equipment, bills, and errands.

- Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and landlords.
- Manage contract and price negotiations.
- Provide general support to visitors.
- Take clear and concise directions from owners, and execute requested tasks.
- Perform review and analysis of special projects and keep the management properly informed.
- Responsible for recruiting staff for the office and providing orientation and training to new employees.
- Ensure the top performance of office staff by providing them adequate coaching and guidance.
- Responsible for ensuring business financial objectives are met by preparing the annual budget for the office, planning the expenditures, analyzing variances, and carrying out necessary corrections that may arise.
- Participate actively in the planning and ex*****on of company events.
- Remain updated on technical and professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, joining professional associations, building networks with fellow professionals, and reviewing industry publications.
- Recruit and select office staff.
- Organize orientation and training of new staff members.
- Establish and monitor procedures for record-keeping.
- Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data.
- Maintain a safe, fun, and secure working environment.
- Monitor and maintain supplies and inventory.
