Imagine walking out to your garden to find your peony in full bloom, showing off incredible hues of orange, pink, cream, and coral. Coral peonies, a group of hybrid peonies aptly named for their coral coloring, are stunning in the garden. Initially opening with a pink tone before becoming coral, these peonies are strong-stemmed and are available in a variety of bloom forms. The first coral peony, “Coral Charm”, was registered in 1965. Since then, many more coral varieties have been introduced. Each variety is noteworthy in its own right. Coral Sunset has an extended bloom season due to its side buds, Pink Hawaiian Coral gives off a slight fragrance. Coral n’ Gold is a tetraploid, meaning it has double the chromosomes, which produces bigger blooms on thicker stems. Although they may share the same colored-petals, each is so unique. There is so much to love about corals. https://growpeonies.com/coral-peonies
