Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that marks the true end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, news of freedom finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas – more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the enduring spirit of African Americans. It's a time to reflect on our history, recognize the progress made, and recommit to the ongoing fight for equality and justice.

Let’s celebrate the rich culture, history, and contributions of the Black community. Together, we can build a future where freedom and equality are truly for everyone.

We plan with our clients in phases. The first phase we use for all of our clients, no matter what package you choose is our Connect Phase. This phase is to get you acquainted with the online planning program that will house the pertinent information pertaining to your celebration such as our to-do list, the budget, RSVP management, creative team members (vendors) and the design process. This is where we will learn a little more about you, your story, values and any details that will aid in designing a celebration unique to you. After hearing your story, we will recommend the best venue and photographer that fits your vision and budget.

Well...that all depends on how many hours of photography you purchased, how big your guest count is, how long you have your venue when the sun sets... yes all those variables come into play. You have to ask yourself what is more important, posed photos of you and your family and friends or capturing moments that are candid and not on a set schedule. Either way, choose what YOU want to see when your wedding is over and your marriage has begun. What do you want to look back on? What do you hope to capture? Then go from there.
