I was orginizing my files and found this memory. Blast from the past, one and (sadly) only B2B w/ Fixsell and my first time playing on players live because I was always scared of them 😂
So, my DJ journey started at Vanilla Club 8yrs? ago, I didn't have a gear to mix on for years, so it was my only place for learning what that mixer can do. I also didn't have Internet at home for about 2yrs because we couldn't afford another bill. That didn't stop me, but also meant I downloaded music last minute and I never prepared for my gigs. This means I did A LOT of mistakes. I never imagined I would play anywhere else besides there, I just thought I found a new hobby that I LOVE. Out of all hobbies I had, it's the only one I always NEED to get back to.
Why am I writing this? - I promised myself I will say THANK YOU to the Universe more. And people.
So, here we go:
I met Fixsell at Vanilla, we shared decks a lot of times there. He was the first one to invite me somewhere out of my hometown (to Platinum) even though I didn't really know what I was really doing behind those decks. It all started there, first Ground Zero and then somehow other organizations started to invite me. I never asked for a gig BUT I remember I was asking him "Can I play just oneeee?" a lot of times through all these years because I wanted to mix SO BADLY, but didn't have the opportunity. Thank you F. for making my wish come true almost every time even though it was really annoying. Thankfully, I bought a mixer and stopped that torture 😂
Also, I remember he was the one giving me advice to make this page, but I refused to do it for so long because I never thought I have the skills or I'm a good DJ. Still don't 😂
He always gave me honest "old school" opinion about my mix and said if I need to improve or change something. I always appreciate this more than someone "licking my balls".
I know we didn't always get along because of the way of thinking or behaving but I always liked how we share the same passion, not only for techno, but punk music, One Piece Puzzle band, how we can make really sick and dark jokes and stories. And also, always admired how he knows to play all these instruments. It was always fun to jam.
This is my post to thank him for giving me that push in the beginning and for everything written. Not only him, but everyone who danced with me throughout this amazing journey. For every scream, for every nice word, critic, support and invite. It was really fun to make all of these memories on every dancefloor, forgetting all of my worries, dancing traumas and stress away and leaving all of my ADHD energy there
