A 16 YEAR-OLD GIRL R***D BY HER 26 YEAR-OLD BROTHER AT BABANANA VILLAGE

LETSITELE- The Police in Letsitele under Mopani District are searching for a 26 year-old male suspect in connection with the r**e of his 16 year-old sister that occurred at Babanana village on 21 September 2023 at about 22:00.

According to the information received, the victim was asleep inside the bedroom that she shares with her 11 and 26 year-old brother.

It is reported that an elder brother joined the victim who was sleeping on separate blankets with her younger brother. The suspect allegedly undressed the victim and r**ed her while the younger brother was asleep.

The following day the victim went to school without informing anyone what had happened about the incident. Fortunately, while attending school the victim was confronted by one of the Educators who noticed that something was wrong with her. The teenager informed the Educator that she was r**ed by her brother in the evening.

Afterwards, the Educator attempted to locate the mother of the victim for a while but she was not successful. On Monday, 30 October 2023, the Educator managed to find the victim's mother and told her what has happened between her children.

The mother then consulted with the Social Worker on Wednesday, 01 November 2023 and the duo reported the incident at Letsitele police station.

A r**e case was immediately opened against the elder brother of the victim who is currently on the run and a manhunt is underway for his arrest.

The police appeal to anyone with information that can assist should contact the Tzaneen Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Investigating Officer Sergeant Mavhungu on 0643758481 or crime stop number 0860010111 or nearest police station or MySAPSApp.

Police investigations are continuing.

A 33 YEAR-OLD MAN DIES MYSTERIOUSLY WHILE SLEEPING AT MAWENI-NKOMBAKO VILLAGE

NKOMBAKO VILLAGE- The Police in Letsitele have opened an Inquest docket following the death of a 33-year-old male person while sleeping on Wednesday 01 November 2023 at Maweni- Nkambako village outside Tzaneen in Mopani District.

According to the information received from the police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, It is reported that the Police received a report of a mysterious death of a male person aged 33 years while sleeping. Upon arrival at the scene, they discovered a lifeless body laying on the mattress in the house without any visible injuries.

Mashaba says the deceased was identified by his wife as Jacky Zitha.

Mashaba says It is reported that upon searches conducted within the perimeter of the scene, an unknown substance suspected to be a poison was discovered in a pit toilet wrapped in a plastic. Forensic investigations will determine the origin of the suspected poisonous substance.

The circumstances surrounding the death is under investigation and autopsy results will determine the cause of death. The element of su***de cannot be ruled out at this stage.

POLOKWANE-The Police in Motetema have opened a case of murder and an inquest docket following the deaths of a couple at Moganyaka village outside Groblersdal in Sekhukhune District.

According to the information, on Saturday 14 October 2023 in the morning at about 07:30 the Police responded to a complaint of a shooting incident.

Upon arrival, they discovered two lifeless bodies of a married couple in a pool of blood in their bedroom and the firearm next to the deceased man.

It is reported that a 41-year-old man and his wife of 37 years had a heated argument while were in their bedroom. This happened in the evening of Friday 13 October 2023 at about 21:00.

It is further alleged that on the following morning on Saturday 14 October their Son, 20 years of age decided to go home. On arrival at home, he found both his mother and father lying in a pool of blood.

The motive behind the incident is not known and Police investigations are underway. The element of domestic violence cannot be ruled at this stage.

It is reported that the deceased is a member of The South African Police Service, a Sergeant attached to Tembisa Police Station in Gauteng Province. According to the information the late Sergeant was on leave when the incident took place.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe condemned the incident and further reiterated her appeal to couples and families to seek assistance from professionals if they are facing domestic-related problems to avoid these painful endings.

POLOKWANE-The High-Density weekly Operation Kukula(Shanela) remains focused on clamping down on crime across Limpopo Province following the closure of 22 shebeens and arrest of 1302 suspects from Monday 25 September until 01 October 2023.

The operational teams across the Province conducted numerous actions, which include 46 roadblocks, 54 liquor control operations, 172 crime prevention duties, 105 compliance inspections at Second Hand Goods Dealers and 1586 Compliance inspections at liquor premises, 500 spaza/Tuck shops searched and 443 awareness campaigns conducted, among others.

The suspects were apprehended for crimes ranging from murder, attempted murder, r**e, drug-related crimes, burglaries, robberies, arson, unlawful possession of fi****ms, and assaults, to r**es and sexual assaults.

In addition, Police’ confiscated 400788 counterfeit cigarette sticks, 24 dangerous weapons, 5132,4 grams of dagga, 902 grams of Crystal M**h, 319,9 grams of he**in, 1000 grams of M**hcathinone and 9 stolen motor vehicles. A total number of 1118 road traffic fines were issued and

The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has applauded the successful operations which highlights the efforts of men and women in blue, the objectives achieved as well as the impact of public safety.

Some of the suspects have already started to appear before their respective Magistrate’s Courts across the province.
