The last of my Steampunk / Dance Fusion bloomers and long pants are now up on my web site. These are brand new old stock. I have "XS/SM" left and they really need a new home! Nice quality light weight knit, good sewing and they are really cute. Made in Nepal by Avatar.

Long ago... Halimeda's Oasis sold CD's of Middle Eastern music and still have some of them left. I am clearing out the warehouse and these brand new, shrink wrapped CD's need to find another home.

I will mail if you pay postage. $5.00 (USA) for media postage and I will put one in the mail to you. DM for more info on mailing. I will send outside of USA but rates will vary.

As a long time resident of Tallahassee, a former FSU staff, and former FSU student...I'm so very saddened by the shooting at Florida State University. I was on campus on Wednesday at noon to play some MENAHT music with Dr. Ivey; the campus was full of students going to & from classes. There was laughter and life. When I first heard about the shooting on Thursday, I had trouble grasping it as real.

On behalf of all of us at Halimeda's Oasis (all of my shop associates)...I send hope for a healing process and may the forces for change prevent this from happening to anyone else...any where.

A big THANK YOU to all those that stopped to talk (and shop) with Halimeda's Oasis at Sunshine Bellydance Fest, April 12 & 13 2025 at Sun City, Florida. It was good to see so many familiar faces and meet some new ones. Thank you to Vania Ojeda and Shaira Anon Dancer for your hard work in putting this all together.

Beautiful big room here for Sunshine Belly Dance Festival in Sun City, Florida (4/12/2025). Classes are going and Halimeda's Oasis is finally set up. I have many new skirts, head wraps and harem pants...just delivered to me this morning. There will be a wonderful show tonight that I'm really looking forward to.

Springtime Tallahassee 2025 Mau'oli'oli Dancers. The costuming and mental culture change was a challenge to switch from Troupe Arabesque to Mau'oli'oli Dancers in a short period of time. There was no changing tent, no back of stage. So proud to be able to share our dancing and our flexibility with Tallahassee, Florida.

Halimeda's Oasis provided much of the costuming and all of the sewing.

Halimeda's Oasis is headed to Sunshine Bellydance Festival next weekend in Sun City, Florida. If I'll be bringing some of our Florida sewn skirts, cholis, vests and harem pants. I'll also have California made body stockings. We're only there 1 day so please come visit us!

Halimeda's Oasis has a rectangular polyester chiffon veils! Polyester chiffon is fun, flexible - maybe a bit heavier than most silk veils. They are easier to manage in outdoor windy weather. It is not as slippery as silk and stays wrapped more easily. They can be used as part of the dance, wrapped around as a cover up, or simple drape as part of a costume. Taken care of properly, chiffon will last and last. Some of us remember when that was all we could get!

I'll include photos of the colors we have ready to ship: burgundy, baby blue, bright yellow, dark purple, navy blue. I also have a black but not pictured. They are $35.00 each plus shipping and any applicable taxes.

I'm making some changes to consolidate Halimeda's Oasis and In Step Studio. Neither part of my dance and costuming is going away! I do need to reduce some expenses on web sites and spend less time on web sites' updates.

A big "thank you" to all who stopped and shopped with Halimeda & Michaelis at Galentine's Gathering, Feb 28, Springhill, Florida. We had such a good time dancing, drumming, and munching the eatables.

Finally... a quiet Sunday (yesterday) to finish the photography and upload of some great skirts' information. And, 1 pair of bloomers, 1 pair of vintage lurex striped harem pants. The skirts are all solid colors and very light weight. Many fasten on the side with either a tie or hook & eye. Prices vary from $45 to $80 depending upon fabric and amount of time to create. Thank you to all that shopped with Halimeda's Oasis in Panama City yesterday 2/22! We had a really fun veil workshop with Dawn; Michaelis was in charge of "the oasis" while I worked those veil muscles! Some dancers got some great deals on veils, hip scarves and cholis.

It was a beautiful day to drive home along US98 and lake in the shoreline. There was a stop in Apalachicola for seafood dinner - why not?

Hey local to Tallahassee / Crawfordville folks: its time for Halimeda to clean out the warehouse! My first run to go away ... lurex veils - several kinds - and beaded/coin hip belts. I'll be in Panama City this weekend, 22nd for Dawn's veil workshop. 1/2 price on all lurex veils (not all are online) and $5.00 hip scarves. All new and nothing wrong with any of the items. I need to reduce my overhead.

If there are colors that you are interested in, please let me know. I can grab some photos for you. Photo is black lurex with coppery overtones lurex. They have lots of sizing but if you rough them up, they become soft.
