Gearing up for a fun week ahead here in the shop as we sort through the shelves and draws prepping for a project. Although we can't mention the client, there is a Discovery awaiting in every corner of the shop!

A trip down memory lane - 8 years ago we were asked by our friends at Choice Films to be a part of a new series called "Big Dogs".
Big Dogs is a series based on the Adam Dunn novel series set in the dystopian landscape of NYC featuring our friends Manny Perez and Brett Cullen.
Little did we know as we filmed this in 2017 that this show would so accurately portray the landscape of NYC in the coming years.
The show was originally released on Amazon Prime, where it can still be watched as well as the Tubi service. With three other novels in the series, we are hopeful that additional seasons will be ordered.
A huge thank you to Tony and Summer and our Film Family at Choice Films for bringing us on board for this show and starting a relationship that is still growing stronger with each year!

We stand in solidarity with our heartbroken brothers and sisters in the NYPD as we mourn the senseless loss of a hero and four innocent lives last night.
Our prayers and deepest condolences are with all of the victims, their families, friends and coworkers.

It is the selfless sacrifice of so many heroes, such as Officer Islam, that we honor and we respect in all we do.
I have had the privilege and honor to have served and worked with so many heroes over the course of 25 years in my law enforcement career and it never gets easier saying "thank you for your sacrifice".
May all of the victims rest in eternal peace and light.

Today we're throwing it back six years to "The Pepper Project - Ricochet".
This amazing action packed spy drama, written, directed by and starring the wonderful Cairs Vujcec and featuring our friend and fellow BIG DOGS alumni member Mike Pemberton.
These scenes were filmed over the course of a few days on a tranquil lake minutes away from the site of the Woodstock concert. We thank the production team for bringing us on board as Armorer, technical advisor and for letting us have fun with some of the practical effects seen in this film. It was great working with the entire team and a fantastic way to celebrate our 5th anniversary in the business with the man and stunt coordinator responsible for bringing me in to this world and my former NYPD brother, .

On this Memory Monday, throwing it back to where it all began 11 years ago on the production of "JOKERS WILD". Filmed here in Orange County NY in the magnificent Paramount Theater in Middletown NY.
This video features a stunt / fx scene performed on a closed film set under the direct supervision and guidance of a trained stunt coordinator and FX specialist.
(Do not try this at home!)
A huge shout-out and thank you to our amazing friend Scott for bringing us onboard to assist with the prop weapons on this feature and starting me out on what would become the company we are now.
Our appreciation also goes out to our friend Alan, who is portraying the clown in this video. Aside from working with Alan on set I also had the honor of serving with both him and his father in the Air Force. Thank you for your family's legacy of service brother!

Taking advantage of the milder weather to get some much needed work done in the shop this weekend. We are currently gearing up for a busy and very productive Fall and Winter film season.

Monday Memories
It's been a year since I had the privilege to work with the amazing cast and crew of "Midnight" featuring the amazingly talented Mila Jovovich and Rosario Dawson.
Being the armorer and technical advisor to two powerhouse screen actors such as these ladies was an honor and a dream come true.
Looking forward to the debut of this film and the opportunity to work with them again.

A big heartfelt THANK YOU to our film family at Choice Films and their amazing wardrobe department for their generous gift this week! 🤗❤️🤗
We are currently inventorying and cataloging a lot of new uniform costumes and accessories that they very generously donated to our shop and will be available soon for rental.
This act of kindness is just a small example of what Choice Films, Tony, Summer, Kacey, Johnnie and their entire team have done to help other businesses, members of the Hudson Valley film industry and the entire community.
We are extremely grateful for everything they have done for others, Orange County as well as this shop since our early days and we look forward to paying it forward and using these gifts to assist others coming up in this industry!
And this is why we love the Hudson Valley Film Community and our entire Film Family!

Although they look real, they are solid static replicas.
With the summer production schedule filling up here and a constant demand for options, we've added some new props to the inventory to meet your requests and needs.
In addition to our wide selection of rubber prop pistols and revolvers we now carry solid replica rifles in M-4 and AK-47 models. These props have no working parts, no functionality and are ideal for use as background props, Set Dec and stunt scenes.
