Gardens of Disco introduces:

• Tereza

Tereza is a German DJ, radio host and curator currently based in Berlin. She lives for the groovy, mostly up-lifting notions of underground dance music and, with her background as a hiphop dj, has a refreshing way of telling exciting and coherent stories through her dj sets. She loves good music of various genres and getting people’s bodies moving - both Bandcamp nerds as well as ravers. She is a skilled and versatile DJ who can read a room and knows how to win a crowd over: she played at Boiler Room, Gala Festival (London), Melt Festival (Berlin), had her debut at Flow Festival (Helsinki) last year and will be at Lost Village (UK) this year. You can find her on sophisticated electronic club and festival line-ups, your favourite jazz festival aftershow party, or at reputable radio stations such as The Lot (NYC), HÖR (Berlin), NTS (London), Kiosk Radio (Brussels) and Radio Raheem (Milan). Until the closure of London based Worldwide FM Tereza had been a staple on the program, presented every other week her latest music finds and experimented with radio formats featuring up-and-coming as well as established artists. Gilles Peterson describes her as a “brilliant DJ to watch and a great curator”. Thanks to the Detroit-Berlin-Connection and their artist exchange program Tereza also spent two months in Detroit in 2022 where she got in touch with the flourishing local scene and had the chance to delve even more into the world of soulful electronic music.

Happy birthday .berlin ! Let’s gonna get into 6 Years Anniversary of one of the most unconventional party in where electronic music represents the main focus. On past years I saw playing in Buttcocks many of the most brilliant djs that now represent the avant-garde community of resident DJs in the best q***r parties in town. We are turning off again the magic of summer for a new long pure autumn+winter made in Berlin. But we still have something for you: Gardens of Disco was an idea, nothing more than an idea. Now it’s your space. Your sexy, romantic, shady, spicy place. Where you can meet each other in the name of Disco. Breathing equality on dance floor and smiles in the toilettes. In the middle of the night we are all sharing the same sound, the same cocktail, the same sweat until we reach the pure essence of sound. Gardens of Disco is back, again (can you feel it?) on next Thursday 29.08 for a very special midsummer night.

Puglia (Italy) born and Berlin based Luigi Di Venere is one of the most exciting presences in electronic music. Now a much loved DJ, producer and promoter, he first came to attention at Cocktail d’Amore, where he is a resident. Di Venere’s talent was quickly spotted by other promoters and he has become a regular feature of Berghain/Panorama Bar and at the infamous fe**sh club lab.oratory.

His musical style is rooted in Italo house and cosmic Italo disco, techno, New Beat, trance, and he is especially known for his luxurious cosmic soundscapes and explosive combinations. Di Venere also runs his own club nights including Maximum Joy in Berlin and Power Dance Club in Athens and Berlin. In the past, Di Venere has hosted his own radio show MachineSex on Radio Cómeme, and his ambient compositions have featured in numerous fashion and art projects.

These days, Di Venere can be found managing the Phonica Records satellite in Berlin’s The Stores X, and expanding his label with Neu Verboten, Philoxenia Records. Di Venere enjoys a number of exciting musical collaborations, including Banana Moon (with Massimiliano Pagliara), SolidAir (with Jules Etienne), Affekt Unit (with Neu Verboten).

Gardens will be opened at 20 with Mila dj-set and the resident will close the night.

You can enjoy our aperitivo food, it will be served until 21.

Tickets will be available at the door. 5 euro is our social price. Cash only.

There isn’t a person behind this project but a truly solid collective which was born as Duma • Preparing our next Gardens of Disco on May 30th at and working on more summer takeover in new juicy venues in Berlin I won’t stop to say thank you to all the artists involved which they make Duma day by day so concrete and solid and also the big artists which constantly collaborate with us supporting our ideas.
We provide you an high fidelity sound starting from our background digging through our music influences. Brand new names are about to join us and I can’t wait for unveiling them. Thanks again for all your shared passion .sugar .mut • to be continued…
