Recent 'live' set for OHAF 2024 Paradiso Amsterdam

Here is a selection of tracks I remembered playing back at Club RoXY; a mix of deep, acid and funky tracks. Whilst many were huge floorfillers, others had a more underground vibe. I was asked to play tracks from between '87 - '89 which you'll hear back in this mix. Over the years I managed to convert many to a digital format or I got hold of good quality digital remastered versions so this wasn't a vinyl set. Hope you like.

Another Sunday afternoon underground house jam mixed on my Traktor S4. A blend of old, new and lots in-between. Tracks are slightly tougher this time around; bumpy, funky, soulful and bass-heavy.

Sunday afternoon mix session: something old, something new (and in-between)...I like it funky, soulful and not cheesy. This is quite an uptempo groove so hope you're feeling it. Shout out to 'Soul Jawa' for his great I-Robots edit.

Lifted from an old school cassette tape and very lucky it was still in 1 piece praying that the tape wouldn't slow down and stop or even break. I hope I can find more of these older live club recordings, it was fun listening back.

In 1989 DJs played vinyl all night long from 11pm - 5am. This recording was an early part of my Saturday set: 'Live from Club RoXY'. I supplied the recordings for the 1st few years (because the other resident DJs usually forgot) and they were broadcast weekly for Amsterdam FM radio show. Ow yes....the picture was also from 1989 @ Club RoXY....hahaha.

What I noticed about the selection, it was influenced a lot more by the New York / New Jersey sound whereas before that I played a lot more deep and acid house with less vocals.
