If cooking isn’t your passion, discover a way to enjoy home-cooked meals without taking time from your day to prepare them. Gregory Paul’s Freshly Prepared Meals & Catering offers homemade cuisine that practically shouts, “Take me home tonight!”
Located in a renovated cottage on a quiet street in Jacksonville Beach, the business has a nice selection of weekly niche menus for lunch or dinner that are a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds.
“When people enter the shop, they’re immediately tempted by the array of sights and smells from the gourmet foods being prepared on-site,” said part-owner Katie Rider.
Gregory Paul’s offers a weekly menu featuring a variety of fresh and healthy dishes that take the question out of: “What’s for dinner?”
“It’s delicious takeout and no mess, no thinking, and it’s fresh and healthy,” said Katie Rider.
But who is Gregory? It’s no mystery. He’s in the kitchen, available to give patrons a warm welcome as they enter the shop, or answer questions.
The Riders started the business in March 2010. Greg Rider always had a passion for food and the pair came up with the “freshly prepared meals” concept to feed that passion.
An ever-changing, diverse menu keeps customers coming back for seconds. The menu is posted weekly on the website and through a weekly email blast for customers who desire the service. Join Gregory Paul’s on Facebook or Twitter for special tidbits.
At Gregory Paul’s, the food is the star. Sample entrees include: grilled blackened chicken bruschetta, served with a pesto-seasoned linguini; grilled beef tenderloin, served over a marsala wine sauce and topped with a red onion jam and gorgonzola cheese, accompanied with Parmesan polenta cakes. Heartier options include butterflied Cuban-style pork chops stuffed with smoked ham, Swiss cheese and a sour pickle, served with a chimichurri sauce with poblano-roasted sweet potatoes. For vegetarians, the vegetable curry with jasmine rice is a nice option.
The generous portions and reasonable prices make Gregory Paul’s an even more tempting option. Main course items are prepared in serving size for two (single servings can be prepared with ample notice) and are generally accompanied with a side. Plus, one can always find selections of freshly prepared soups, salads or desserts. Entrees are in the $16 to $21 range, (keep in mind that’s for two servings). Containers are labeled with heating instructions and are oven- and microwave-safe plus recyclable.
Gregory Paul’s is also your answer for what to serve at your next party or special event. The company specializes in small-to- medium events. Since presentation is as important as the food itself, catered meals are served on beautifully arranged white serving platters. Custom catering menus are available to make your event even more special.
Forget the hassle of throwing together a less-than-flavorful meal at the last minute. Stop in Gregory Paul’s and meet your personal chef.
