It's not often publicists venture outside their comfort zone when it comes to pitching stories, but what we've learned in our 12+ years in the public relations industry is that a GOOD STORY will get picked up, regardless of who is pitching it!

Jingo Media, our PR & marketing company, typically pitches film, arts, entertainment and fashion stories to the mainstream and South Asian press, but this time, an interesting sports story came across our desk, and we had to have a part in telling it!

Meet India Rising, the first All-Indian playing for $1 million in this Friday's TBT (The Basketball Tournament), live on ESPN at 7 p.m. ET. Thanks to the Sports Gods (and the uniqueness of the story), we were able to get the team on Global News Toronto's Morning Show today. The New York Times calls Anuvab Pal "India's Most Intelligent Comedian," and his next play "Admission" is premiering this weekend on Zoom, co-presented by Jingo Media (Texas), Enacte Arts Inc. (SF Bay Area) & Rage Productions (India).

Plot: Four college friends reunite over Zoom post-lockdown after 20 years. Ben Miller, new head of the Dept. of LGBTQ Studies at Bryant State has a boyfriend from Bihar. Tara, wife of a millionaire banker, is fleeing an embezzlement scandal. Failed Bollywood actress Maya is caught up in a co***ne bust. Govt. economist Dr. Soham Sengupta is under a CBI scrutiny. Will they find common ground? Written in Pal's searingly ironic style, the play is full of witty one-liners that will embarrass you at your own laughter!
