It's been six months since "The Disney & Show Tunes Power Hour" at Mimmie & Ryan's wedding. 🥰

I was reminded of this fact in several ways at last Saturday's wedding at :
Instead of Disney, there was Anime represented in some of the music chosen.

There were instances where last week's dance floor reminded me of the clip accompanying this post: the bride ENJOYING herself with some of her People. 😊

And I set a note for myself in the planning app to reach out to Mimmie & Ryan six months after the wedding to touch base.

I'm TOUCHED by Mimmie's words in her review.

That night was Soul Food... The review brings it all back as if it happened just yesterday.

Mimmie & Ryan - here's to six more months plus infinity! 🤗

It's another , so we know what that means: it's time for some BTB Shout-outs.

Noa and Joe found me thanks to my association with The Jerome Event Center. I felt that we clicked right away during our initial consultation. 😊

As always, a discussion about the possibility of officiating their ceremony (even if as Plan B) ensued. They had someone else named Steve in mind that they were considering (if memory serves), so we joked about the name of the officiant remaining the same, regardless.

Nearly three months later, I received the message saying that they'd be honored for me to officiate if I was still interested.

YES! 🥰

Mr. & Mrs. Lazorik - I can't stress enough how much I appreciate the two of you! Serving you & your community truly was a PLEASURE.

No matter how often I say it, it'll never be enough - thank you for the support! I see it in MANY of the inquiries that I receive: your confidence in what I offer to My People and my professional and preparedness is NOT unnoticed by me.

To Tina & the team:
It's a rarity that I get to do my thang in your house, but the experience has always been positive. Thanks for the communication prior to the Wenisches' wedding celebration, the assistance during and the patience of the closing crew as I was packing up to leave. See y'all next time! 🙋🏾‍♂️

To and your second 📸:
One of my goals is to take care of the other WIPs as well as I can (mostly through communication and collaboration). I appreciated working alongside you both. I look forward to seeing content of the event and hopefully working alongside you again.

I'm gonna call this a Pro Tips Tuesday post. Kinda goes with the reasoning behind the post to begin with.

Did someone say that it's ? Okay, then. That means that it's time for some BTB Shout-Outs. 😊

One of my recent weddings allowed me to revisit 7 Vines Vineyard and Winery Dellwood, MN. Mike & Madi came my way thanks to me being on the referral list.

Unfortunately, during our Final Walkthrough Meeting, Mike was under the weather and essentially quarantining himself in an effort to avoid passing his illness on to Madi. That act, in and of itself, was indicative of his thoughtrulness.

Listening to the officiants delve into the nature of Madi & Mike's relationship let me know a couple of things: Madi essentially revels in Mike's "quirks", actively participating in them. Mike ADORES Madi.

And I'm QUITE thankful that they chose me to be a part of their wedding celebration.

That thoughtfulness extended to me, as they checked in on me on a couple of occasions during their wedding celebration.

That will ALWAYS stand out to me when I think back on their reception.

To Lorah and the 7 Vines Vineyard and Winery Dellwood, MN team:
THANK YOU for the assistance for the event, your patience (especially with me getting all of my gear packed up and loaded into my vehicle) and for the referral. I look forward to returning in October!

I have no problem admitting that I am QUITE new when it comes to officiating wedding ceremonies. Despite getting ordained SEVERAL years ago, I didn't really start leaning into it until last year (thanks to one of the couples that I took care of requesting that I do it for them).

I've found that I REALLY enjoy it (that might be an understatement).

In a few hours, I get to officiate Momoko & David's ceremony at one of my "houses."

Can anyone say "Soul Food?" 🥰

THE goal that I have when it comes to the business is NOT solely about a packed dance floor from the beginning of Open Dancing until the send-off of the Couple of Honor. Instead, it's to leave the couple that I'm serving feeling like they were cared for AND cared about by their Entertainment Guide.

That goal extends to Their Community. It also extends to the other WIPs (Wedding Industry Professionals) that I'm working alongside at these events.

At its heart, gaining the confidence and respect of the couple is PARAMOUNT; the longevity of the business ALSO requires that I be mindful to do what I can to gain the confidence of the other WIPs, too.
