GCXC Racing Pittsburgh Since our founding we have enjoyed many successes and are proud of the continued growth that we've been able to sustain year after year.

After receiving requests from numerous organizations, it was decided that the running community would greatly benefit from an all-in-one timing and race management company. LightSpeed Race Management (formerly Elite Runners Race Management) was thus founded in the Spring of 2013 under the umbrella of its parent company, Elite Runners & Walkers, Now Pro Bike + Run.. We believe that our achievements

are seated in our dedication to the running community, attention to detail, and our ability to assist race directors at every step. A key component to our timing and management process was our decision to use the leader in endurance timing solutions, ChronoTrack Systems, Athlinks.com, and on a local level our retail sister company, Pro Bike + Run. Through our relationships, we have been able to make more choices possible while simultaneously making the entire process far more manageable, intuitive, and socially accessible for race directors, participants, friends, and family alike.

RUN SANTA RUN Cranberry and South Park RACE RECAPS.

This past weekend saw the end of the 2024 GCXC Racing Pittsburgh race season with our Run Santa Run 5K events in Cranberry and South Park. The Cranberry race was our largest since 2017 with close to 600 participants. Our South Park race came in a close second at over 550. The South Park event also wrapped up our inagural Run Santa Run Triple Sleigh Challenge where runners tackled 3 Run Santa races in 8 days. It was an incredible weekend filled with smiles, joy, laughter, positive vibes and great community. On behalf of everyone at GCXC Racing Pittsburgh, we want to say thank you and congratulations to everyone who helped make it such a magical weekend.

To begin, our amazing non-profit partner for the 20th year in a row, Amachi Pittsburgh. We are so blessed to work with this wonderful organization and can't wait to support them again in 2025. To everyone who donated money or toys for the kids they serve, THANK YOU!

RUN SANTA RUN OAKDALE (HELICON BREWING) - POST RACE WRAP UP - Better late than never.

This past Sunday saw the kick off of our annual Run Santa Run races at Helicon Brewing in Oakdale. The race was a sell out and we could not have had better weather. On behalf of the entire GCXC Racing Pittsburgh team, we want to thank everyone who helped make this race such a huge success.

This event also served at the kick off of our inagural TRIPLE SLEIGH CHALLENGE which also includes our Run Santa races in Cranberry and South Park this weekend. The competition was fierce and we look forward to seeing who comes out on top this Sunday.

First we want to express our gratitude for 20 years of partnership with Amachi Pittsburgh. This amazing organization brings support, love and guidance to so many children in the Pittsburgh area and we are humbled to call them friends.

Thanks to Pro Bike+Run for sponsoring our awards. NovaCare Rehabilitation for always keeping our runners strong, healthy and injury free. Hi, GCXC racing fans...do you experience aches and pains while running, but not enough to stop?
Me too.
I was feeling hamstring pain after hitting certain mileage on long runs, so I visited NovaCare Rehabilitation in Allison Park. Physical Therapist Tricia Patsilevas performed a running assessment to help me get back on track. I'm now feeling great and at good mileage for my January goal race.
