GCXC Racing Pittsburgh Since our founding we have enjoyed many successes and are proud of the continued growth that we've been able to sustain year after year.

After receiving requests from numerous organizations, it was decided that the running community would greatly benefit from an all-in-one timing and race management company. LightSpeed Race Management (formerly Elite Runners Race Management) was thus founded in the Spring of 2013 under the umbrella of its parent company, Elite Runners & Walkers, Now Pro Bike + Run.. We believe that our achievements

are seated in our dedication to the running community, attention to detail, and our ability to assist race directors at every step. A key component to our timing and management process was our decision to use the leader in endurance timing solutions, ChronoTrack Systems, Athlinks.com, and on a local level our retail sister company, Pro Bike + Run. Through our relationships, we have been able to make more choices possible while simultaneously making the entire process far more manageable, intuitive, and socially accessible for race directors, participants, friends, and family alike.

It is with great sorrow that GCXC Racing Pittsburgh extends its condolences to the family and friends of Assistant Allegheny County Parks Director Andy Grobe. This past Tuesday, Andy passed away suddenly at the age of 39. If you have ever run a race in one of the beautiful Allegheny County parks over the past several years, it was likely approved by Andy. God Bless and we are keeping you and your family in our prayers.

RACE RECAP - 4Ever Yours 4 Miler

This past Sunday, runners and walkers from all over the region decended on North Park for the 2nd Annual 4Ever Yours 4Miler - Individual and Relay. The weather was brisk and the wind was blowing, but these athletes crushed their race. With both individual and relay options, there was something for everyone.

5 of our GCXC Racing Pittsburgh ambassadors were on hand as well to take on the race and enjoy the excitement. Sydney Willig, Chuck Hull, Albert Blake Headen, Amanda Hardt and Carlos Rodriguez. Be sure to check them out on social for great insider tips on everything GCXC.

Quite an amazing day yesterday for our GCXC Racing Pittsburgh team as we partnered with Cancer Bridges, and run clubs from all over the region, for a Community Run from their Strip District location. This was the kick off of our Sean T Smith Just a Short Run 25th year celebration. Take a look at the video below for a behind the scenes look thanks to our friends at KDKA-TV | CBS Pittsburgh.

Hundreds of runners gathered Saturday morning for bonding, exercise, and breakfast for the first-ever Miles, Pancakes, and Purpose event, raising over $1,000 for a good cause. KDKA-TV's Chilekasi Adele has more.

GROUNDHOG DAY 5K RACE RECAP

This past Saturday we gathered in North Park with close to 300 amazing runners and walkers for the 4th Annual Groundhog Day 5K and it did not dissapoint. The weather was amazing, the coffee was hot and the participants were full of energy. A perfect way to kick off the weekend.

The race also served as the kick off to our 2025 Winter Fun Bundle which also includes the 4Ever Yours 4Miler - Individual and Relay on Feb 9th. The Shamrock Run 5k, 1mi and Kids' Dash - Cranberry on March 1st and the Shamrock Run 5K, 1mi, and Kids' Dash - South Park on March 8th. Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, worked or spectated. Your energy and enthusiaism was infectious and we could not have done it without you.

I was feeling hamstring pain after hitting certain mileage on long runs, so I visited NovaCare Rehabilitation in Allison Park.
