Continuing my thank you post as I sunset this account.

I had high hopes for this series that never materialized but they are some of the most fun images I ever took part in and I think they are sublime. was an incredibly patient model who was willing to experiment. did the makeup, took the incredible photos, and gave us an amazing space to play in.

Collaboration at its finest is a big part of what I enjoy about this art form.

Into the Wayback machine for one career highlight. An invitation to paint on the most popular tv show in the Spanish Language…. Sabado Gigante. Had the honor of making friends out of my competitors… and

I will never forget the anxious thrill of being driven around Miami to get Cuban sandwiches with a guy that no one informed me was a race car driver!

Over the years, bodypainting gave me so many opportunities to meet people I would never have met otherwise and go places that always had surprises!

Liz is one of those amazing people I met on this journey that I might have met in a professional capacity, but I never might have guessed what a beautiful and expressive free spirit there is under the professional first impression.

She has given me nothing but creative encouragement and in return I hope I was able to give her a chance to show her bold and assertive rue colors.

I was ready to give up on finding a photographer so many years ago, and then a met Dan. Gifted with the camera, a lighting genius, and respectful with the models and with me.

Before Dan I was TRYING to be a body painter, but after Dan and I got to working together… it became a real thing. If you see a well lit bodypaint image in my feed… 9 times out of 10 it was a Dan Hood image.

Life changes. Sometimes we need to change with it, even if we would rather not.

It is with some regret that I am informing you that I will be putting a halt to my photoshoots.

I am still available for hire, but I need to shift my focus.

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone that I have worked with, and everyone waiting to work with me. I owe you more than I can express for your faith in me.

Yesterday we celebrated our Independence Day. But what good is autonomy if you are in the process of destroying yourself.

Recent Supreme Court decisions and laws enacted in various states of our Union are taking rights away from most Americans while empowering the extremely wealthy who control major corporations.

Meanwhile women are losing rights daily, trans people are under attack, and women are losing their ability to access basic health care.

And if we continue down this path there is literally a plan in place to label art like this forbidden and shut down freedom of speech all in the name of a particular flavor of religion.

Think about that.



This is not ok.

Which also means YOU don’t get your decide what the rest of us get to say, do, show, see, or think about.

This is why I think the 1st amendment may well be the sexiest thing our Government has ever come up with.
