If you heard the number of people who come up to me and say, âOh, youâre an Event Planner! Iâve thought about doing that!â First, I love why I do. I also want to be transparent that it isnât for the âweakâ or for people who just âthink it seems cool/fun.â So much not captured here, itâs labor intensive on the day of the event, itâs one of the most high stress jobs there are (no joke - look it up - you literally cannot make a mistake), it takes many skill sets, from negotiating to reviewing and modifying contracts to creating new ideas to being SUPER organized and a complete #peopleperson since you work with many different types of personalities. Itâs a cliquey industry too, so you have to have developed yourself beforehand in order to handle it well. Itâs a big industry âŚbut a small one. Reputation is everything too.
Itâs a LOT, but I am thankful every day that I am able to meet and work with such amazing people, that Iâm able to use my corporate and fashion background in such a magical way, and that Iâm able to show my children that their mother is a strong female entrepreneur who does it her way, with a smile đ
