What a week full of wonderful life stuff happening. and I got to celebrate our birthdays (they’re just 6 days apart) 🥳🎉 singing silly and very important anthems with close friends, before ending up dancing til close w/ fellow pisces ♓️ at .

On my actual bday on Monday, I woke up to a sign and balloons 🎈wishing me a happy birthday, which was followed up by a delicious breakfast at my door. To top it off, in the evening I received a video full of close friends and family wishing me a happy birthday. Yes I cried 🥹😭. Like, gwow. All of it thanks to that amazing woman If you didn’t wish me a happy bday there’s always next year. 🤣 I kid.

It’s my birthdayyyy and this llama knows it! Fri, March 10th we will celebrate Latin and immigrant culture as well as our Pisces friends celebrating birthdays with Latin Bass music of all kinds. Estamos Locos I is the first mix in a series meant to highlight my favorite Latin-inspired tracks that are guaranteed to get you moving. (TOCA) is TODAY Friday, March 4th 5pm-7pm ET. Fresh Fridays is a music stream where each month a dope DJ carefully curates international tunes that will expand your monthly palette, get you moving and may end up teaching you something. We’ll be raising awareness and donations for TOCA’s work to help HS students of color learn new languages (Spanish, French and Arabic), taught by refugees from across the world.

I’ll be playing lots of latin music and the Afro-Latinx American diaspora will be heavily represented. There’ll be some dope visuals showing cultural dances, views of Colombian landscapes and some videos that teach us about some important music.

(TOCA) is BACK this Friday, March 4th at 5pm ET/2pm PT. Fresh Friday is a music stream where each month a dope DJ carefully curates international tunes that will expand your monthly palette, get you moving and may end up teaching you something. Think of it as: school dance meets community block party -- but virtual! We’ll be raising awareness and donations for TOCA’s work to help teach high school students of color new languages and take part in immersive travel abroad programs.

Having grown up in Queens and now living in Brooklyn, I’ve seen how exposure to music from other cultures and countries has helped so many young kids learn new things and grow as people. I was able to travel internationally a few times in my youth, including a study abroad experience in college and I have only great things to say about traveling. I’ll be playing lots of latin music and the Afro-Latinx American diaspora will be heavily represented.

Happy Friday and weekend to all of you! To those of you working on the weekend because you need to or because you want to, thank you and you’re awesome. Especially to the front-line and essential workers.
I may not be in a beautiful place like what’s pictured here, but damn do I feel gratitude looking at this pic of Vernal Fall at Yosemite National Park for being able to experience this natural wonder earlier in the year. Seriously .

Saturday I’m visiting my alma mater, , where I’ll be providing the 2021 Homecoming tailgate soundtrack from 12:30-3pm right next to Zable Stadium at the newly rebuilt alumni house. There will be tents for the Latinx alumni group, the APIM alumni group, the Hulon Willis - Black Alumni network, the Crim Dell Association (LGBTQIA+), Society of 1918 (womxn), and many more groups, all surrounding the music. I’m honored to take part and will be playing global sounds that will get us dancing and mixing amongst the groups before the game. If you’re a W&M alumni heading to homecoming, hit me up! This will be outdoors. I’m unsure of accessibility here, but I believe the location is on a grassy lawn with a bit of an inclined angle. Bathrooms will be indoors and elevator accessible. Masks are recommended.
Sunday I’ll be in DC at the curated event, , at from 2-8pm ET. Enjoy the outdoor DC vibes with food from local Black-owned businesses, cold-press juice and cocktails and music from , and myself. No tickets or cover. Just positivity, safety, fun and a sense of community. Masks are recommended. This location is street level and accessible via the sidewalk onto gravel-dirt ground.

Suéltalo’s back tom, Sat June 26th at 1pm ET/10am PT to make sure the hottest virtual Latinx fiesta on the Internet is available to you, but before then and I wanted to shout out our guest DJ’s and from the prev couple Suéltalo editions for helping us raise money for two fantastic orgs that do the Lord’s work. Each Suéltalo we donate a portion of the profits to a non-profit organization that lifts up disenfranchised communities in need.
The April edition helped raise $48.66 for , an org that works to ensure that their Friends (the term used instead of “clients”) receive community support, individualized assistance, and a path for taking on leadership roles within the movement. All of NSC’s programs are offered free of charge, and are committed to turning no Friend away regardless of their situation, history, or background.
In May, our community raised $43.63 for , an org committed to showing up for communities of color in unique and powerful ways, w/ a focus on Black women and girls. Their resources and initiatives are collaborative and they prioritize opportunity, access, validation, and healing. With the barriers affecting access to treatment by members of diverse ethnic and racial groups, the Loveland Therapy Fund provides financial assistance to Black women and girls seeking therapy nationally.
If you want to help us help others while joining a great community of Latinx music lovers dance the day away, tune in this Saturday! We’re raising money for , an organization that uses donors’ funds to wipe out medical debt from the neediest cases. Once they pinpoint the portfolios for those in or near the poverty level, RIP buys up their debt and relieves it. They then send relief notices to the benefiting families, and subsequently help the recipients repair their credit reports—renewing their access to opportunities and resources that will allow them to rebuild and recover.
So join , , Dwai and I as we play the music to get you moving while we raise money for those w/ debilitating medical debt.

I am forever grateful and honored to have been a member of @soundgardenevents 2024 for this year’s big burn. It was a wonderful camp and served as a safe, beautiful, fun and welcoming home on playa. I helped kick off DJ programming at the Sound Garden and played an extended 2+ hour set of Amapiano, Afro House, Chill House, Baile House, and Deep House. The set served as an official kick-off for this year’s sound system (and in my opinion the best sounding system at BM) and as the soundtrack to the creation of the beautiful altar at the center of the Sound Garden.
