Is anyone else sometimes a little frustrated they’re not further along with their business or life goals? I admit I’m guilty. I was talking to a friend the other day and she was so bummed saying she feels she's not where she's supposed to be in life for her age. (I mean who dictates where we are supposed to be? Everyone's life is different. Different experiences, different support, different resources, different environments.) I find it always helps to remind myself that there’s no set schedule for growing! As long as I’m learning, doing my best, being authentic and moving forward I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. Do you have this issue and what do you remind yourself of to dismiss the thought?

Play a game with me! If you got to play hooky from work all day today, what would you do with your 24 hours of freedom? Would you A) Spend time doing absolutely nothing and having no guilt about it (what I'd like to do) B) set up a nice date with your friends to spend quality time (don't worry about the details, let me set everything up for you 😉) or C) Catch up on some chores around the house (blah)? Life is too short to not spend time with the people you love most… Do you agree? The most important people in my life are my babies, and I’d do anything to spend as much time with them as I can. That’s one of the reasons why I quit my 9-5 and started GGV. Before it was all a hamster wheel. Wake up, rushed mornings, heavy traffic, drop offs, work, heavy traffic, pick up, home, eat, shower, homework, bed, repeat. There was no time for quality conversations, impromptu movie nights, spontaneous amusement park days and belly laughs at the dinner table as we talked about our day... owning a business allows me to have full ownership of my time and be fully present with my girls. Yes it has it's challenges, yes it's a rollercoaster. But the instability and waves of entrepreneurship is a privilege I’ll never take for granted. Im getting pretty good at riding them. Who out there wishes life came with its own ‘easy’ button?! Personally, I would love one for becoming multiple people at once (things would get done so much quicker and I wouldn't be as tired😂)! I always love making new friends, so I figured I’d (re)introduce myself! My name is Ani (Ah-Knee), and I’m a Luxury Picnic & event stylist from California. I started my business because I love being in beautiful surroundings with good friends, laughs, food and drinks. About 5 months ago I quit my desk job to pursue my dream full time, and I haven’t looked back since! A little known fact about me is I have a full garden in my backyard with chickens, a rooster, and ducks. I'm currently looking for a miniature goat ( I think I'm really supposed to be a farmer😂). Ooooooh friend, I know it’s easy to get caught up in the morning rush, but take a few moments to start your morning off on the right foot. Wake up 10 minutes earlier than everyone else and say a prayer while the house is still quiet, for example, or even  take a moment and write down 5 basic things that you are grateful for (Some people don't even have the basics). Whatever you do, I bet you’ll be surprised by how much of an impact it will make on the rest of your day! Is anybody else as tired as I am 😩 One thing I miss about my 9-5 is that after 5 work was done. Fridays were something to look forward to. It was the end of the work week and time to relax. I loved just going somewhere with an amazing ambience and drinks with my friends. It’s part of why I created GGV I wanted to give others that experience. So take me up on my offer. I’m going to be honest. There’s a part of this business that is utterly dreadful. It’s the part where you realize that although you are every woman in the sense of wearing many hats, you’re not every woman fully capable of doing EVERYTHING that all those hats require. I’ve been slipping in my consistency with social because I’ve been trying to do all the things 😩 But that all needs to change because social media is so important to a so I’ve pledged to be more consistent. Is there anything you are a bit insecure about? For me, it's that I always feel like someone's "something" is better than mine. Although I struggle with this, I am working every day to change my perspective by remembering a cliche quote. " No one is me and that is my superpower." Cliche but facts. My picnics + my client's feedback= I got it goin on. Now that's a vibe!⁣

Cali weather is some kind of crazy. The weather showed 65 degrees at the beach but my guests were traveling down from Las Vegas and was set on a beach picnic. So that’s what we did and it was absolutely perfect feeling more like mid 70’s. I don’t know if it was the euphoric feeling of being by the ocean, the beautiful set up or the sun shining bright that made it feel much warmer than it actually was. Either way it was a completely beautiful experience. Thank you Autumn for choosing to set up your luxe picnic 😍⁣
