We're getting ready for a new school year here in Australia.
These school holidays have flown by and the kids are going back next week. I'm looking forward to having our normal routine back, although I will miss these slow days with my girls.

Australian friends, when do your little ones go back to school and how are you feeling about it?

Are you starting to get organised for the new year?

I'm old fashioned and still love a wall calendar to be able to easily see my month at a glance, but I always struggle to find a wall calendar that is not huge, has a nice design and simple layout, so I just made my own! I use a planner too. Never too many options 😂

I grew up in Europe, where Christmas was in the peak of Winter. After coming to Australia I had to adjust to a Christmas in Summer and, years later, it still does my head in 😄

Sometimes I miss the cold weather that I associated with this time of the year, but Christmas day at the beach is very appealing too! 😎

Today is Small Business Saturday, and as a small business owner I couldn’t help but reflect on the amazing roller coaster ride that is running a business!

My business made it possible for me to stay home for my girls when they were little, to be present for their school events and activities as they grow up, while also fulfilling my creative dreams and having a purpose beyond family life. It makes me so happy to know that my designs have featured in so many celebrations all over the world and I have many more ideas I hope to bring to life ✨

I never thought I’d be an entrepreneur, and it’s not without its challenges, but I wouldn’t change a thing and I’m forever grateful for your support during this journey.

My kids have been begging me to start this Christmas countdown we used last year, in fact they loved it so much they asked if we could have a countdown for Easter, Halloween, their birthdays, you name it!

It's almost time to put it up again and I know they'll be so excited to add to it each day.

I love that it is reusable and we can use the same calendar every year ✨
