One more year without Kiwifest. A year of war, death, terror and broken lives. That's what russians brings to Ukraine. Year we stand our ground, brave people protect freedom and their home.

As many of you know, Andrey Kopylov and Roman Cherednik canceled KiwiFest on February 28th due to the war in Ukraine. The destruction and loss of life is devastating! Our hearts go out to the people of Kyiv and all of Ukraine.

Many of us in the dance community have offered assistance, whether that's on an individual / local / global level. King Swing (Poland) has created a fundraising initiative to support the Ukrainian people, tied to their event on March 17-21, and others have created their own fundraising options. We hope that our dance community can discover opportunities to support each other and that we each find our own way to encourage peace.

Hey folks.
As you can see from the news, we were wrong. War has been started. Today was a very hard exam for our country. And It's just a beginning. Our warriors are standing for our land to death. It's hard but they hold the aggressor
Of cause, there's no way to do KiwiFest this year. We hoped COVID will be our biggest problem. Unfortunately, it's not.

What can you do now to help:
1) Support Ukraine on the internet, talk to your friends. Everybody should know that Russia started this war, whatever it declares.
2) Go to the meeting and show the world you do care, cause it's not between Ukraine and Russia, it's between World and Russia. They will not stop
3) Ask your government to support Ukraine, we do need help now, together we can stop this madness!

⚡️ To ensure your safety, we have suspended registration for the next few weeks.

⚡️ All approved registration can be paid two weeks later.

A few facts about our friends 👇

💥 Joao Vitor Parada has been dancing since the age of 8 when he entered a German folk dance group. Today he is competing on the All-Stars level and regularly being placed on the top 3.

💥 Ludovic Pelegrin Pardou has taken his first dancing steps at 10 years when he first learned rock’n’roll. Quickly becoming very passionate, he goes from workshops to workshops overseas, where he learned from the best instructors. He also competes in many competitions, where he regularly places into the Top 3.

🌶 🌶🌶 Hot couple + hot dances = awesome event

Today we are starting to introduce you the best dance-masters and, by the way, best friends of our . It will be a fascinating ‘trip’, because our community involves a lot of outstanding personalities and great dancers.

You will have the opportunity to meet all these legendary people during the fest: on the dance floor, in workshops, at parties.

👋 And… we are happy to announce Maxence Martin&Virginie Grondin, headliners of our event!

Their first appearance on the dance floor as a couple was in 2012. Interesting facts: Maxence started his dance carrier in Lindy Hop in 2005, and Virgine has been dancing since she was five!

Now both of them are one the most popular teachers in the world. And you can see them in April in Kyiv!

⚡️ Dear friends! First, we would like to say a big thanks for your support and worry about the situation on our borders. We know that the news is scary, the media is panicking and everything looks bad! It is beneficial for someone that Ukraine would be weakened and isolated. ⚡️

But wait!...👇
- the hybrid war has been going on here during the last 8 years when Russia invaded Crimea and part of Donbass in 2014
- everything is calm inside of Ukraine and our media and military do not panic as much as European
- we assume that a full-scale invasion is very unlikely

🤝 What we can do in this situation?
- we will inform you about the situation from the first hands
- we want to give you a little time to calm down, so all foreigners can take 1 month of payment deferral.

- keep calm and don't be nervous
- support Ukraine
- don't change your plans!

All we can say is WOW. Here we are!!! The craziest party of the year is back! It's been 10 years since KIWIfest first started rocking it out and sparked up the dance floor! What better way to celebrate than by coming out this year?

⚠️UPDATE⚠️

Dear friends, we hope you and your families are doing well and staying healthy! 😷🤞
Frankly, we've been missing you and dancing "our feet off" so much! You know what we mean: big dancefloor, favorite partners, parties till the dawn...

We have brainstormed all scenarios on the possibility of holding KIWI Fest 2021, but it still appears an impossible task😔 No other events have been announced in Europe and people are not traveling. KIWI Fest has always been an international wcs event, so we decided to do vacation for one more year.

We really hope countries use this time to at least vaccinate the citizens so that we all feel safe to travel and dance again. Let's meet at KIWI Fest 2022!
