{Phil & Coleen} When we're faced with a situation that forces us to change our carefully laid out plans, we feel lost and disgruntled, grumbling at the unfairness of it all. These past 2 years, many such plans had to postponed, revised, or scrapped altogether because of Covid. While Phil and were busy preparing for their July 2021 wedding, cases were growing by the day and the hope of having a big celebration was becoming increasingly bleak.

It's tough changing course, more so if you're planning a wedding. It's an extremely important day, one you're super excited about and have set aside a substantial amount of money for. We also get extremely attached to the idea of how we want the event to be (myself, the wedding planner, included!), so it's difficult to accept when a worldwide pandemic comes along and ruins everything. Like, seriously! 😄

It was admirable to see how well Phil and Coleen handled all the twists and turns Covid brought our way. They stuck to their original date and had a small ceremony with 30 friends and family members. Everything was pared down and simplified but the tiny details that our bride made sure to have spoke volumes. Indeed, it was a beautiful day to get married.

Hello, IG, and hello, world! It's been a quick minute. I hope everyone's doing well! How do we feel about 2022 so far? The jury's still out, I suppose. 😊

A literal half-year since my last post, wow! This is me attempting once again to get back into the swing of things. I've learned that maintaining social media accounts is really like being in a serious relationship: you can't be casual about it. 😂 Here's hoping I've changed my erring ways. 😋 And just to show that I'm fully committed this time, please expect a wedding post tomorrow!

Jokes aside, 2021 was quite the year. While it ended in extraordinary fashion (hello, !), I can only look back with so much gratitude. It was overwhelmingly busy - so much so that I cried at times - but filled with blissful surprises, unforgettable experiences and, of course, the most beautiful weddings.

It's been quiet around here of late though life has been anything but. In the past few weeks alone, my family and I have lost a loved one (not due to Covid), I got sick with pneumonia, and had to be hospitalized for 6 days. It was a harrowing experience on so many levels. Still, I am very grateful that I was negative for Covid and we managed to get a room after 8 hours of waiting in the ER. Seeing the news and hearing patients' accounts of having to wait days outside the hospital, all while ill and in need of care, is so upsetting! 💔 I can't imagine going through that. 

I think I generally handle stress pretty well but, once in a while, we all just need to take a break, no? I tried writing something upbeat but the words felt disjointed and fake. I don't know about you but everything affects me in a different way now. It's like bad news these days just seems... "BADDER," if you know what I mean? It's hard to explain but I think a lot of people can relate. I just hope you are all well - physically, emotionally, mentally - and staying healthy. God knows this requires our very active participation these days!

I look forward to regularly posting once again. There are still so many beautiful weddings that I'm excited to share with all of you. If you want to share some good news, anything that can uplift our spirits, please do. Here's mine: I FINALLY got vaccinated last Monday! Hashtag blessed. 😊 We all have to celebrate the (big) little wins, otherwise we will absolutely lose our minds!

{Chris & Mirella} Exactly two weeks ago, Chris and had the most beautiful intimate ceremony at the magnificent Redemptorist Church. What a sight it was to walk into the church! Towering palm trees lined the aisle and huge potted bromeliads were strategically placed at the altar. As the lovely mother of the bride exclaimed, "All living decor! After the wedding, these plants and trees will go into the ground again." Isn't that just the most wonderful thing? 💕

This wedding is memorable to me in many ways. It was a true reflection of the couple, with each and every element carefully chosen and so tastefully done. It was "small," (with only 30+ guests in attendance and hundreds watching the live streaming online) but big with the love of friends and family. Truly, this is what weddings should be about.

I absolutely loved getting to know and working with Chris and Mirella as well as all the amazing people around them. Thank you, you two! It was a privilege to be part of something so special.

{She Said Yes!} It is such an incredible feeling to witness a beautiful dream come true in front of you. Couldn't be happier for you both, Ralph and Shobe !

Even though they're officially tying the knot next month, Ralph wanted to surprise Alenah with a grand proposal. "This will be the 3rd time I'm going to ask her to marry me," he said, jokingly. I responded, "As if she's going to say no!" 😊 Of course, I was more than happy to be part of this clandestine operation! One top-secret conversation with our groom and off to work we went to put together this sweet surprise.

I am so fond of Ralph and Alenah. I call her "little sister" because she is like one to me. Knowing that they had to postpone their wedding last year (and that they've gone through so many challenges because of the pandemic), I just wanted to do what I can to help create an unforgettable experience for them. Judging from these pictures, I think we can say that we accomplished that goal! Many, many happy tears were shed and many, many beautiful photographs were taken. Special thanks to the wonderful people at for the fantastic service and who clearly can do magic with red rose petals and string lights. 😍

When the wedding was over and Daniel and Julie had to fly back to Australia, I felt a little sad because I knew I would miss them. I feel fortunate to have met such amazing human beings and to be able to call them friends.

For them to entrust such an important day to my team and I - what a privilege! I hope the wedding was everything they dreamt it would be and more. 💕

The theme was perfectly executed at the reception with an abundance of palm branches, Monstera leaves, and local blooms. It was beautiful!

{Daniel & Julie} From the start of the preparations until the very early hours of the next day, it was clear that Dan and Julie's wedding was all about family, friendship, and love (and, of course, having the best time ever!). It was so heartwarming to see new friendships being formed and relatives reuniting after many years apart. It was a wedding day but also so much more than just that.

Now, more than ever, we see the preciousness of the intimate celebration. We've come to appreciate that "smaller" absolutely does not mean "less." Sometimes the significance of it all gets lost in the stress and extravaganza but, if there's one good thing this pandemic has brought about, it is this: the reminder to focus on what's truly important. Family. Friendship. Love. 💕

No question, and knew exactly how to get the party started. After guests enjoyed cocktails, they were led into the ballroom for even more alcohol. The couple chose drinks for each person, corresponding to the table assignments. Fun idea, right?? And, of course, the guests were more than happy to oblige! 😊

{Daniel & Julie} Only moments before we opened the drapes and she began her walk down the , our bride Julie was calm, composed, and oh-so-beautiful. A string quartet played "All My Life," a song she requested as a surprise for Daniel. She told me later on that she felt a whirlwind of emotions but one eclipsed everything else: happiness. 💕

Pro tip: , take as long as you need to ready yourself before the "big reveal." When the doors open, don't rush in (most brides do!). Enjoy the moment! Breathe, say a silent prayer of thanks, and let everyone look at you. 🙂

Song: Canon in D" by Pachelbel - - - - - So... I relearned a skill during lockdown. Yay me! I used to play classical piano when I was younger. Then I stopped for 20 or so years (huge regret). A few times these past years I've tried to study it again but "busy" has always been such a wonderfully convenient excuse. The lockdown took that away and suddenly I had more time than I knew what to do with. So, finally last August, I sat down on the piano bench and started. Again. From the very, very beginning. I have to tell you, it's been a most humbling experience. The practice has been steady and, yes, slow. But that's okay. If there's anything 2020 has taught me, it's to be present and appreciate what's here. I feel proud that I've pushed myself to pursue something worthwhile. It's definitely better than wallowing in doomsday scenarios. God knows I've done enough of that! - - - - - One more day and it's Christmas! Wow! Happy holidays, everyone! 🌲
