“Taking Over By Storm” - Our Journey:
The first idea for Storm Group Entertainment (aka. SGE Presents) came in early 2013, when a 17 year old student gathered a few friends to help pass out flyers in exchange for free tickets to local electronic music (EDM) shows. Our small group’s growth potential quickly became clear after we launched the official brand, and SGE had gone from a team of 5 friends to well over 200 ambassadors. Suddenly, we were taking on several major club and festival clients that needed a variety of different marketing services. Most of our time and effort was spent learning techniques to effectively manage the sales teams, until Storm Group consistently produced reports with the highest overall sales.
For the past 4-5 years, we have been diligently working to test Storm Group’s boundaries to shape us into the versatile entertainment company we are today. During this time we explored some higher level positions as a consultant for several popular, yet struggling, clubs in South Floridas. SGE took over the marketing departments of these venues, which included OTH (Off the Ho**ah, Cyn Nightclub, Taphouse WPB) and Unconquered Management Group (Monroe’s of Palm Beach, Double Dee's Ranch and Saloon). We periodically hosted small shows and festival travel packages, eventually collaborating with some of the leading electronic event companies in Florida to book headlining artists with quality production.
Our biggest achievement yet, however, was when we decided to take a giant leap forward in 2018 and begin to throw outdoor music festivals. SGE and our amazing partners (Apex Presents, AEG Presents, Hypnotic Productions and RaveFam Promotions) all got together to plan and book two one-day festivals at the massive and beautiful Sunset Cove Amphitheater in Boca, Florida. In February we brought Excision’s Paradox Tour down and booked the Deadbeats Label Tour for September. These were the first ever electronic concerts held at that venue, both boasting their next-level stage production, sound, several vendors, activations.
After the tremendous amount of success that we had in 2018, between the Sunset Cove festivals and the monthly sold-out tour shows in Miami, our team was really put on the map. Our main focus currently is the brand new, 2 day Forbidden Kingdom Music Festival at Sunset Cove on Feb 16th-17th, 2019. We announced the FKMF lineup in Nov. 2018 along with a 60-page book and anthem, receiving nothing but incredibly positive feedback. Storm Group has also taken on the role of artist manager for two up and coming bass music producer/DJs: Terminal Velocity and Universe Zero.
