🍎❤️Calling all Cider Lovers❤️🍎
In partnership with and is the next signature events as Black Dog Tavern’s Executive Chef Andrew Varley will be joined by The Royal Hotel’s Chef Albert Ponzo and Pastry Chef Sarah Villamere for a delicious and collaborative menu geared to celebrate the all mighty 🍏 🍎 🍏!
Yes! The star of the evening is a variety of Ontario ciders from Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Cold Water, Hiller, Bloomfield along with people who are responsible for making them who will be on hand to speak to their respective libations.
They are:
Start the evening with ofreshly shucked East Coast oyster bar served alongside cider ‘pearls’ with fennel & saffron mignonette featuring Spy Distillery “I Love Gold” cider.
This will be followed by a four course menu featuring select ciders in each dish as well as a refreshing cider to pair:
🍎 Course One Venison; tartare, cider pickled shallot, caper berries, leek & maple emulsion, sumac salted frites. Featuring Woodfolk Cider “Golden Hour”
🍎 Course Two Squash; acquerello risotto, prosciutto, parmigiano. Featuring Cold Creek Vineyards 2022 Hera’s Sacred Tree
🍎 Course Three Muscovy Duck; confit leg, vanilla & anise jus, beets, hazelnut, mint. Featuring Stock+Row “Low and Slow”
🍎 Course Four Apple Pave; zabaglione. Featuring Spy Distillery “Mata Hari” brandy
