Chris Royce has produced another rocking video: the Christmas Boogey! The song is written by Dan Cunningham (on vocals, as well as playing guitar and harmonica) and features Tom DeVito (vocals) Jim Laing (piano), Ron Lowe (organ), Bill Erchul (bass), Chris Jones (drums), Chris Royce (slide guitar). and Dave Spencer (saxophone) and many on back-up vocals. Thanks so much to Lucas for the review of our string trio last month at the Wakefield Barn (below). It was a stunning affair. All of our groups are busy this month, with two trios going out tomorrow (a piano trio at a private home in Chapel Hill and a guitar-banjo-cello trio at Union Grove). Last week solo violinist Angela played for a marriage proposal event at the AC Hotel in North Hills. So much music to celebrate the best days of your life (and soothe the soul!)

Brier Creek Country Club was a lovely setting for the Louder wedding in late September. Thanks to quartet musicians Sarah, Jean, Kitty and Jill for the music, which included "You Raise Me Up" for the father of the bride before giving his daughter away.

We are really excited to greet the upcoming wedding season with four weddings on Sept. 7 at the venues pictured below: string quartet at the Barn at Valhalla, string trio at Highgrove Estate, string quartet at Duke Chapel and string trio at the Carolina Hotel and Golf Resort (Pinehurst)! In the next few weeks our groups will also be playing at the Umstead, Galloway Ridge, Dove Chapel, the Historic Wakefield Barn, Raulston Arboretum, Brier Creek and Spring Lake. Whew! Love is in the air.

Set up begins for Anna and Kyle's June 1 wedding at the Carolina Inn. It was a perfect day but the trio still appreciated its shady spot. Anna chose "How long will I love you" and for her wedding party processional, "Lover" for the bridal processional and "This will be an Everlasting Love" for the recessional - a rocking arrangement for string trio!

This morning we were all blessed by a perfect wedding day for Anne and Dylan at Fearrington! A bit overcast with a delightful breeze, the trio (Ann, Jill and Kitty) enjoyed playing Anne's selections, especially Signed, Sealed, Delivered as the recessional!
