🌸💡Let’s talk about repurposing your ceremony flowers for the reception! It’s a smart way to get the most out of your florals, and with a few tips and tricks, it can be done seamlessly:
1️⃣ Freestanding Designs Are Key: The best arrangements for repurposing are those that can easily move from one location to another. Think small to medium freestanding pieces that don’t need to be completely dismantled—just pick them up, transport, and restyle. The goal is to make it look effortless, even after the move! 🚛✨
2️⃣ Plan Around Your Timeline ⏰: It’s essential to ensure your ceremony and reception schedules allow enough time for dismantling, transporting, and restyling your blooms. If your venues are different, it can be a bit trickier, and additional logistics (like another van 🚚) might be required to keep your florals intact and ready for the next setup, particularly when moving pieces like arches. This can add to the cost, so it’s something to factor into your plans 💸
3️⃣ Colour Choices: 🎨 When your ceremony and reception are held in the same venue, the colour palette typically flows seamlessly between the spaces. However, if they are in two distinctly different locations, considering your colour choices can really help your repurposed flowers feel fresh and cohesive in their new setting. For example, you’ll notice in these photos, we refreshed the ceremony freestanding arrangements by removing the toffee roses and restyling the arrangements beside the seating chart and into the lush draping at the front of the bridal table, using greenery to connect them to the main centrepiece on the table. Depending on your colour palette, simply removing one colour or adding a touch of foliage, you can dramatically change the aesthetic without complicating the process. These small adjustments can make a significant impact, ensuring a seamless transition from ceremony to reception while maintaining that effortlessly elegant look 🤍
