💛Today Pastor spoke on a sermon series called Arresting Anxiousness, and it resonated with me deeply. As I reflect on my journey, I realize how much this message connects to where I’ve been and where I’m headed.
I’ve been in the food and beverage industry for 16 years, pouring my heart into serving others through my craft. But last year, I made a decision to pause. I stepped back from being an everyday private chef and focused solely on catering and, most importantly, on myself. It was a necessary shift—one that allowed me to recenter and realign with my purpose.✨
Even with this intentional break, the past year came with its own set of challenges. There were times when I doubted myself, questioned my path, and wondered if I was doing enough. But as I look back now, month by month, I can see how God carried me through each moment. Every high and low was a step forward, even when it didn’t feel like it.
One thing this sermon reminded me of is that arresting anxiousness is as much about mind management as it is about faith. It’s a daily practice of guarding my thoughts, staying present, and not allowing my fears to control my actions. Managing my mind has meant replacing doubts with truth, negativity with gratitude, and anxiety with peace. As well as showing up for myself.
This journey isn’t always easy, but it’s worth it. To anyone else navigating uncertainty, take a moment to pause. Look back and see how far you’ve come. Even when it doesn’t feel like it, God is working behind the scenes. With faith and intentionality, you can take control of your thoughts, silence the doubts, and keep moving forward.✨✨
