And just like that Cake & Flowers is open! What an amazing day, full of flowers, cakes and visits from lots of friends, colleagues and customers! I can’t deny I was a little bit emotional this morning, it’s been a journey to get to opening day but it’s all been completely worth it and I couldn’t be more proud. None of it would be possible without the wonderful team behind us including our fantastic General Manager .virgilio who has been behind us every step of the way! We can’t wait to see what the future has in store!

This week they celebrated 30 years in business (nearly as long as I’ve been alive!) They have been our trusted supplier for nearly 20 years and without them what we do would not be possible. Getting up for work when most are getting ready for bed, they source the finest flowers from around the world with no request too big or small. They make the impossible happen and always with a smile, even when they have to run round the market looking for something I ask for just as the van is about to leave! Thank you for everything you do for us and here’s to the next 30!!

Wow! What a busy 24 hours! We’ve been sending out lots of our Dorchester Rose gift boxes all across the country and some gorgeous bouquets here in London. Many of which included this gorgeous Lilac called ‘Maidens Blush’ which is my current obsession... for this week!

There is something so special about Cloni Ranunculus, maybe it’s the soft paper like petals or the fact that they remind me of marshmallows and look good enough to eat! I absolutely love them and they were on of the first flowers on my list for reopening. Did you know the best growers of these special flowers are in San Remo, Italy?
