Whether they just want to play for fun, or want to use the experience to promote their band, the key is to have a blast on the Music Closet. Elliot Mintz was a radio and TV broadcaster who found himself in Ono’s orbit in 1971 and stayed in close contact with the couple throughout the rest of the decade. He is one of the few people who was in regular contact with Lennon throughout his ‘house husband’ years of the late 70s when he seemed to have disappeared completely.

https://youtu.be/LRjBpPU3C0w First Commercial Release of Velvet Underground's Foggy Notion the Count, Joe Viglione Instrumental Paul Robinson on drums, Fred Pineau on guitar, John Hovorka on bass, Joe Viglione on keyboards The Modern Lovers' Jonathan Richman taught Fred and John Hovorka how to play it for these sessions. Joe Viglione had recorded Mr. Curt Naihersey and Jon Felice at the Rat Dec 4, 1974 performing the song as The Kids, before they became The Real Kids. I think Felice played another Modern Lovers song that night as well. We practiced in the band Boston's practice room at the Cambridge Music Complex owned by Jack Griffin of Jack and the Rippers.
