First Nations didgeridoo player Mark Atkins talking to the The Drum ABC TV last night, about his Remembrance Day goal , to honour both First Nation and Australian diggers.
Mark, producer Chelsy Atkins and audio engineer Ricky Bloomfield have been pouring their hearts into In this First Nations Inclusions Project for the past three years, in collaboration with Sydney Opera House.

First Nations didgeridoo player Mark Atkins hopes a moving new arrangement The Last Post (Winds of Change) performed by Atkins and jazz icon james Morrison, will start a new chapter for Remembrance Day, honouring the camaraderie of Australia's First Nation & Australian Diggers.
From 7am tomorrow a film clip (filmed by Garuwa) will go live via on Sydney Opera House's platform stream.sydneyoperahouse.com featuring Atkins and Morrison performing the arrangement atop the Sydney Opera House sails.
The film clip which accompanies the new piece was created in 2002 in collaboraation with Sydney Opera House.
Audio of the new arrangement is now freely available for commemorative use by Communities and Organisations nationwide and is available for download at www.thelastpost.au
Production of the piece began in early 2020, and alongside Mark Atkins, the rendition was arranged and produced by Chelsy Atkins (Garrijimanha) and Ricky Bloomfield (Bear Mountain Productions). Chelsy Atkins organised extensive consultation with relevant community groups, and received endorsement letters from numerous individuals and organisations including; RSL & Services Clubs Association, RSL NSW, Australian War Memorial, Archie Roach AM, Shane Howard AM, John Schumann, Ernie Dingo, Hon Ken Wyatt AM MP and Hon. Kevin Rudd AC.
