From humble beginnings DJing in his hometown of Mostar in Bosnia & Herzegovina back in 1998, Amir has built up a dedicated following across the globe with his unique DJing and producing skills. Initially influenced by classic electronic acts such as Underworld, Leftfield and Kraftwerk, Amir developed his own distinctive style following a move to the UK in 1998. th to strength musically, constantly evolving his style and pushing the boundaries of electronic music. Proving he is one of the brightest DJ talents around, Amir regularly plays at clubs across England including The Egg where he played as headliner as well as a warm up djs for some of the biggest on the scene, Sebastien Leger, Format B and others.(, Colosseum Club , The End ,Notting Hill Carnival among others, with a stand out set at Ministry of Sound where he played alongside Funkagenda, Audiofly and the legendary Pete Tong. Going further afield, Amir has headlined at some of Eastern Europe’s hottest nightspots including Egoist in Debrecen Butique, Anderground and Happy People Clubs in Belgrade, Amnesia in Novi Sad and Croatia's famous Buba Beach Bar. Since 2008, he has been regularly playing in Spain, with sets at 7 Sins in Barcelona and a number of gigs in Ibiza,Khumaras, Grial, including a four-hour sunset slot at the famous Café del Mar. Additionally, Amir also headlined at the Frannz Club in Berlin, playing with Lukas Greenberg.* Plastic City Records. In addition to DJing, Amir has signed with DeepClass Records, where he released his debut EP ‘Likewise’. He worked closely with Sendos Fuera, Agent Matteo, and Fer Ferrari to produce remixes of that track. The EP received positive feedback, and was supported by John Digweed, Luke Solomon, Da Funk, Sebastian Davidson, Jay West, Florian Kruse and Igor Marijuán amongst others. For five years, Amir hosted his own radio show, 'Monday Deep Session with Amir' on one of London's leading online stations, Push FM. There he played alongside a host of impressive talent including Abicah Soul, Claude Monnet, Danny Rampling, DJ Disciple and more. After guest appearances on Igor Marijuán's Club Ibiza show on Spain’s Ibiza Sonica, Amir began to broadcast Monday Deep Sessions as a weekly show on Ibiza Sonica. The profile of his show continues to grow, and he has hosted a number of famous DJs and producers including:
Solomun, Stimming, Kevin Yost, Mihai Popovicu, Markus Homm and many more. The MDS show lasted 8 years. For the past 10 years Amir Groove has been the resident DJ at the world-renowned Nobu Berkeley St in London and Nobu Hotel in Shoreditch, Currently at Nobu Hotel Portman Square London, playing a unique mix of chill-out, electronic and deep house music, including world music all featuring ethnic vibes
