The intensity of grievances reached a point where the restaurant became the focal point of discussions at a meeting involving the Community Board and the 76th Precinct.

A resident living in close proximity to Phil’s shared, ““You will be shocked about the number of conversations you can hear from my bed. They’re animals. Friday and Saturday night, it’s like animal town.”

The bar has actively endeavored to transform its ambiance into a “quiet family-oriented establishment” and has taken the step of hiring a bouncer.
