Happy International Women’s Day to all my fierce wahine toa around the world.
This is just a small selection of women making waves in bass music right now. That I’ve either met or followed for time and SEE the grind they on and how much hustle they have. Incredible women who deserve their flowers. Please follow and support them. All tagged here.
1. This is one of my most popular tracks: Suck My Fvcking Cl!t B***h. I produced it, wrote it and do all vocals on it and I wrote it after a run in with group of work men harassing 13-14 year old girls in their school uniforms. The guy told me to svck his d!ck. And I smashed my can of drink in to his windscreen, kicked his door in, called him a p3d0 and told him to svck my fkn cl!t. I will ALWAYS rage for my girls.
2. The incomparable .music. Paige is easily one of the most prolific producers in bass music right now. I can count on one hand artists I’ve met that are as unique and hard working and dedicated to their craft as she is. It was a TRUE honour to be on the same line up as her this festival season. One of my biggest inspirations as a producer. And she’s a dope human.
3. I ride for Shanz. I’m such a fan girl of her riddim sets. She’s a beast on the scene, and a fvcking cool human! Riddim scene fkn watch out - there’s a new beast in town and I swear down she can out chop you all.
4. power house mother and daughter. Arlen (Grommie) is killing it on the scene right now in the dark grimy 140 world and Audio Ju**ie paved the way for women in dubstep in Aotearoa and is a beast on the rise and on top of it - some of the raddest fkn chicks I know. Serious talent and vibes. And I’m stoked to call them my mates.
5. it’s not often you play after a international headliner as big as Alleycvt and they introduce you like this. Thank you queen. Meant the world. Not only are you a fkn dope human but holy s**t, one of the hottest producers in dubstep there is. Queen of remixes. Queen of vocal anthems. Everything she puts out makes me want to immediately quit Ableton 🤣.
