If you’ve been staying on top of your therapy sessions, you know that half of these “what if” thoughts are intrusive thoughts and WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO TRUST THEM.

And yet… during a busy work week, somehow we do exactly that. 😂

As much as I try to remind myself not to spiral over things that are *sometimes* completely out of my control, will I still lie awake wondering if a feral raccoon is going to somehow break into the studio and destroy everything?

Yep.
It’s truly one of the best, most exhausting, most excruciating parts of the job.

And every week I’m like… why do we do this again?!🫠😳🤪

For Sydney 🤍 If you can’t tell, we’re BIG fans of dahlia season around here. There’s something about dahlias that almost doesn’t look real - every petal is so perfectly formed and layered, making each bloom so intricate.

BUT I have a bit of a love-hate relationship using them in bouquets. Their super sturdy (sometimes massive!) stems can make them tricky to work into a more delicate design. Rather than forcing them into place, we’ve learned to let them take the lead.

We looove how Sydney’s mono-bloom bouquet turned out — textured, layered, and full of some truly perfect dahlias. 🤍

Honestly, some of these I probably don’t even need a drink before saying. 😂🍸

Wedding planning is beyond stressful, and the decision fatigue is so real. We’ve always said we’ll be 100% honest with you throughout the planning process — even when it’s not necessarily what you want to hear — because taking some of that stress off your shoulders is kind of the whole point.

So here’s some blunt but well-intentioned advice from your florist. 🤪🤍

You saw the after, so here’s the during…. 😂

Ever wonder what your florist is doing in an outdoor stairwell when the heat index is 112°? I know, I know… sooo dramatic. But listen. It was HOT. 🥵

Thankfully, the final product was SO worth the heat and everything turned out absolutely lovely. But when it gets that hot, your brain just… stops working.

There’s a reason this reel only shows us arranging the smilax and not the flowers — by that point, it was too hot for me to even think about recording. The only thought left in my head was: GET THIS DONE AND FIND AIR CONDITIONING ASAP..

The way we have tried and failed too many times to count to create a “day in the life” video… 😂 So here’s the best I could do — a few quick videos and pics to sum up a slowwwwww day in the studio.

I love an intimate wedding — low pressure, solo (kind of 🫠) studio time, and approximately a million hours of logged audiobook time. 🎧

And the icing on the cake? Staying on Sullivan’s for a little staycation, which means we get the perfect morning and evening to enjoy it. 🤍 Days like this remind me just how good this gig can be ☀️

Monochrome, multi-bloom bouquets for the bridesmaids tied together with a bridal bouquet of trailing orchids, anthurium, allium, and tulips. A color story we will never forget! 🌷🌈💛
