ALAMO CAJUN COOKERS·SUNDAY, MAY 19, 2019·
Started Alamo Cajun Cookers in 2008 in San Antonio,TX. Introduced to eating mudbugs in the late 70’s in Biloxi, Mississippi while on temporary duty at Keesler AFB. Traveled to New Orleans, LA and sampled them again... Everyone had their own Special Recipe for making the best Crawfish and I never tried any bugs that I didn’t like... Fro

m adding fruit, garlic, to hot sauce or tabasco - they were all delicious!! Paired with a cold beer or drink you just can’t beat the experience. Our first few years in business we catered to the oil industry in the Eagle Ford and Permian Basin regions of Texas. Nothing like feeding a group of folks who have been isolated from the food they love. The price of crude oil has dropped so we expanded our business scope to include family parties, graduations, business events, charity events, and grand openings. We provide you with a turn-key Crawfish Boil, Shrimp Boil, Crab Boil or Combination Boil. Turn-key means we show up at your location, cook and spice all the products you ordered on-site, and provide trays and plates to eat off. Standard Boil comes with Corn, Potatoes, and Sausage. Optional items include but not limited to; Mushrooms, Green Beans, Carrots, Brussel Sprouts, Garlic, Sweet Peas, Asparagus, Cauliflower, Cabbage, etc.. Crawfish & Shrimp Boil with Green Beans
We also provide sacks of bugs so you can Create your own Boil. Call 210-823-3493 for more information!!

It's the end of May and temperatures are pushing into the 90's and above. The live Crawfish Season is coming to an end. The large adult bugs will go back down into the mud, prices may go back up and the supply will not meet the demand.
We plan to continue regular runs until the 3rd Sunday in June (Father's Day). After that, it will be based on quality, size, availability, and number of orders!!
Thank you to all who came through to make 2024 another successful Live Crawfish Season!!

05/05/2024

Mother’s Day is May 12th, next week.
If you plan to get bugs this year - get your orders in early!!!
I plan to drive over Thursday and pickup bugs before the rush to harvest them on Friday and Saturday.
To be locked in, I will need your order before Wednesday. Wednesday forward, I can’t lock in your order.
Remember weather effects harvest and rain and deep water can move Noah’s mudbugs to Remy’s property!!!

Word to your Mother!!

We have Large Graded Selects!!

06/04/2024

FYI...
Next week we will have a limited availability of Large Washed Graded Select Mudbugs. The price is $1.00 plus over the current washed Field/Straight Run Bugs.

My recommendation today is if you want the big one's and you need three sacks - buy one select and two washed field run.. Prices should go down as the Live Season progresses!!

Please get your orders in as early as possible in the week you need them.

I must say!!! I was so surprised that FB allows this Crawfish Gif in their selection.... One pic is kinda ......

03/04/2024

Crawfish prices fell $.50/lb this week!! Time to do the Mudbug Dance!!

**Note.. Still no large graded selects yet but if this Sunny weather and Total Eclipse doesn't raise them up out of the mud - Nothing Will!! I got some eclipse glasses for bugs!!

21/03/2024

Next week will be an extremely busy week for Mudbugs!! We are picking up on Thursday and delivering on Friday as the quality will go down closer to Sunday.
You will need a large cooler w/drain , Ice, and an old towel/burlap.
Recent bug size.

Every week - getting better!!
I took them from the ice to the bowl and laid them on their backs (tail size).. And like Gators 🐊 they tend to just move a little.

The Crow are also called the Apsáalooke, Absaroka, and Apsaroke. Their name was given them by the Hidatsa, and meant “people [or children] of the large-beaked bird.” Historically, they lived in the Yellowstone River Valley. A Siouan tribe, they once were part of the Hidatsa, living around the headwaters of the upper Mississippi River in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. Later, the Crow moved to the Devil’s Lake region of North Dakota, before splitting with the Hidatsa and moving westward.
Settling in Montana, the tribe split once again into two divisions, called the Mountain Crow and the River Crow. They were first encountered by two Frenchmen in 1743 near the present-day town of Hardin, Montana. When the Lewis and Clark expedition came upon them in 1804, they estimated some 350 lodges with about 3,500 members.
