Story of "Lemon Salsa" : I was making a salsa Fresca of sorts and only had one lime so I used a lemon as well. I threw everything into the food processor and let it rip. It was a more bumpy ride than usual. I popped the lid and it didn't look right, more yellow. Tasted and got lemon. Lots of it.

I checked the bin near my station and realized I had accidentally thrown the whole lemon after juicing into the processor. It only had a slight bitterness because of the pith but it was actually really nice! I put it through a good whirl in the vitamix to make a better mouthful and boom!: lemon salsa! 🤣

Really nice with seafood, like these mini red shrimp sopes.

They might have seen you the whole time and just didn't know you cared.

Met with Chef Anthony Bar in @freshscoopstudio to catch up after a couple years since our dinner collab. We talk about two shows he was on, the difference between French and American culinary training and restaurant culture, our "beloved" Yelp, private vs. restaurant life, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
