WOW! I’m so honored to be nominated for not one but two categories!

Thank you so much to .kansascity for hosting such a fun event and spending all the time to plan it all. And thank you so much to whoever so kindly put my name into the nomination box. I always knew how much I would love all the couples and all the flowers. What I didn’t realize was that the Kansas City wedding industry would be such a warm, fun, supportive group. They have been the icing on the cake. I can’t wait to celebrate all the finalists. Now get out your party pants!

These dresses from Potapenko & Yanchenko] were just amazing. One of my favorite moments from this day was watching her as she fitted, altered and designed right on the spot. If you ever do a consultation with a consultation with me you’ll hear me talk about dancing flowers. What does that mean?! When I design your floral I’m always thinking about how the flowers interact with each other and not only how they look in person, but how they move, how they will photograph. Everything. So the dancers are flowers that float or dance above the main body of the bouquet. They will sway and wiggle while you walk, adding another element of interest and beauty to each arrangement. Skirt pool for days. 🤩 You’d be surprised how much laying around for photo ops you can do and still keep your dress clean. It’s important to assign someone to dress duty to help you maneuver it and hold it so you can get into position without getting it all dirty. I say it’s so worth it to get images like this.

Elegant and simple are often the hardest to do even though they appear so effortless. I just love these beautiful place cards by .stationery mixed with the texture of all the boutonnières.

Pro Tip: All your boutonnières don’t have to be exactly the same. It’s fun to have them coordinate while still each being unique. It’s kind of the guy version of mismatched but coordinating bridesmaids dresses.
