Ooh exciting news - I’ve been awarded one of the Party Kit Network Shining Star awards for 2025.

This recognition isn’t just for me, but for everyone who’s borrowed my kit, shared it with friends, and helped cut down on single-use waste. Every hire makes a difference.

Together, Party Kit Network members have already avoided over 1.3 million single-use items – including 315,000 just this year!

Here’s to making celebrations more sustainable, one party at a time.

Each September the Party Kit network asks all the party kits to log how many items have been hired - it's fantastic to see the cumulative impact of what's not gone in the bin.

There are additions to the kit - fancy, stretchy table toppers - modelled here by Comberbach War Memorial Hall's table (8 black, 4 white)

Also i now have some "disposable" (used but plenty of life - these things deserve more than one outing) bunting, happy birthday banners and wipe clean table covers. If these "disposable" items don't survive your party it won't impact the deposit.

We're regular visitors to the Refill Shed for things such as nuts, washing up liquid and pasta. But they also have a massive array of vegan sweets. Paper sweet bags are another way to cut down the plastic at your party. Our bags came from etsy.
