In honor of we’re sharing the recipe for our Peanut Butter and Banana Oat Dog Treats!

Also, enjoy these gratuitous pictures of my Odin, then and now ❤️

Peanut Butter and Banana Oat Dog Treat Recipe:

Ingredients:

0.75 cups gluten-free old-fashioned rolled oats
0.25 cup natural peanut butter
1 medium ripe banana
1 tsp honey

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Blitz the old-Fashioned rolled oats in a blender until you have a fine flour, or, alternatively, use an equal amount of oat flour. Set aside.

3. In a large mixing bowl, mash the banana thoroughly.

4. Add the peanut butter, oat flour and honey and mix with a hand mixer until well combined. Add more flour a tbsp at a time until it reaches the right consistency, which is JUST starting to be crumbly.

4. Roll dough out 1/4 inch thick, and cut into shapes with a 1.25”-1.5” cookie cutter

5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly brown underneath. Allow to cool completely at room temperature.

6. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Fresh herbs are a big DILL! Along with making everything we possibly can from scratch, we emphasize using fresh ingredients in our dishes that impart a big punch of flavor and colour, just like this fresh dill right here (which actually was grown in-house hydroponically) ❤️

In honour of St Patty’s day, I’m sharing my recipe for Irish Soda Bread, which I learned working in a restaurant in Ireland after graduating from culinary school (so you know it’s good!) It’s super tasty, easy and very quick (no proofing needed!), so please do make it and ENJOY!

Irish Soda Bread Recipe:

Ingredients:
600g white flour
600g whole meal/ whole wheat flour
1 Tbsp salt
2tsp baking powder
800ml- 1L buttermilk (or as needed)

Directions:
Sift the white flour and the baking soda into a large, wide bowl.

Add in the whole wheat flour and mix well.

Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in 700ml of the buttermilk, make your hand into a claw and stir the mix firmly until it is evenly moist, adding an additional 100ml of buttermilk as you reach the big pocket of dry flour mixture near the bottom of the bowl. Do not over-mix! If it’s a bit dry, add more liquid, but do so GRADUALLY.

Grease and flour a baking sheet and turn the mix out in a round cake shape or two small rounds, cutting a deep cross into the top of the loaf and pricking the surface with a knife several times.

Bake at 425*f for 15 minutes.

Reduce the heat to 390*f and bake for up to 30 minutes or longer until the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom. If you are not sure, turn it over and bake for a further 10 minutes up-side-down.

Cool on a wire rack or, for a slightly softer crust, wrap it in a clean dish towel first and then allow to cool completely before slicing.
