Sadly, due to many unexpected obstacles that we could not overcome, The Fajita Cookoff will not be held on September 17th on South Padre Island. We are actively looking for a new date and venue and will inform the public when secured.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of cooking competitions around the country every year. But there is no competition like The Fajita Cookoff.
We are NOT Barbecue. We are the forgotten soldier of the beef wars. We were born in the 1900s in deep South Texas along the Chisholm Trail by Vaqueros.
We are proud! And we are sick and tired of the abuse and misuse of our name. There is no such thing as a chicken fajita, much less a sirloin fajita.
Just because you cut something into strips and put it in a tortilla does not make it a fajita taco!
We formed The Coalition Against False Fajitas, CAFF, many years ago to stamp out that which is not a true fajita. Our members are "MADD CAFFs".
Come to The Fajita Cookoff Saturday September 17th on South Padre Island and join our cause.

This years competion was tough to judge but very tender and very tasty. Tender and Tasty is how we like it! Check out some of the that were entered this year. All of the enteries were delicious but the winners were creative and delicious. big thanks to all that competed in The 2018 Fajita Cook Off.
