Hiiiii! It’s Misa!

I’m a self described crazy cat lady. Lover of flowers. Obsessor of Cookie Monster.

If I’m not flowering up, I’m most likely creating in another way. I crochet, paint my nails, and dabble in sewing. I just love to make things with my hands!

Lord of the rings extended trilogy are my comfort movies. But my ultimate comfort is snuggling up with a book and a cat in my lap.

I’m casually know around these parts as the ABBA Queen. I even held the top score in Just dance for an ABBA song for like…3 minutes. 💁‍♀️

My name is actually Artemisa, but I think Misa suits me better!

My favorite flowers are pansies, which is not a cut flower so I just enjoy them in the garden. I’m the person behind the emails and around here on social media!

Hey👋 Alex here!

Just your average guy who enjoys playing video games, reading fantasy, and baking…after I binge watch the great British bake off.

While my dad’s family is from Maui, I moved here when I was 14, and have been here ever since!

I have a deep love, okay maybe an addiction, for ice cream. I can whack a whole quart in one go if Misa doesn’t step in.

Snow boarding is my jam. I heard Haleakala was supposed to snow four inches yesterday 👀🏂

You’ll find me on wedding day, carrying the heavy stuff, setting up mechanics, and designing installations.

I’m allergic to cats, and am the guy always trying to convince Misa to bring one more home.

I know all the words to Avril Lavigne’s Complicated.

I can’t think of anything else soooo 👋👋👋

And oldie but always a goodie.

The prompt for this was rainbow. Which is a bold move in both style AND trust in your florist.

Most couples come to us with a color palette in mind, but the thing about flowers and creating a cohesive palette with them is all the nuance in between. We'll use all the fun flowers to bring that vision to life! AND we'll do it without spray painting them 😜😜🤣

Once upon a time, what feels like so long ago, we grew flowers. Rows of flowers. Dahlias, roses, strawflower, amaranth. Lacey flowers, and sunflowers as tall as the roof of our house. It came with a lot of struggles. The wind, disease, pests, and weeds to name a few. Every time we faced a struggle, we felt more beaten down and disappointed in ourselves. Until one day we realized it didn't bring us the same joy and we said no more.

Designing wedding flowers comes with struggles too. The difference is when we face a struggle here, we feel determined to overcome it. And that's how we know, this is what we are meant to do.

We like to think that having grown flowers ourselves makes us appreciate all the work that goes into it by the time they come to us. Thank you to the flower farmers all over the world. And special thanks to the local growers that have given us the most beautiful blooms to work with, you all are amazing!

We couldn't stay away completely from growing and now have a beautiful liiiittle flower garden that we get to sit among the flowers and enjoy.
