Tired of the usual open mic nights where you only get to play 2 or 3 songs? Well Showcase is looking at changing the format, changing the feel and make playing an acoustic performance a better, more satisfying experience.
My acoustic duo, Remember Serenity were tired of travelling to a place to play 2 songs, so I decided to rework the way these nights run on my own acoustic night. Every Monday at the Park Tavern Southend, Showcase will continue to build and offer more of a "gig" for acoustic acts rather than the soulless 2 songs and sod off approach. Each act can play 4-5 songs with the featured acts also playing more each week.
Obviously, if you want to show up and play 2 songs, you're more than welcome to.
