The Dougal’s Christmas Light Display

3 days in to taking the lights down and storing them away safely for 2024. Still a day left to get the ones off the house walls.

Was a great success for our lights of 2023. We even made it to the papers. We would like to thank everyone who made it amazing.

*The Geordie Grinch for coming along and being part of our switch on evening.

*All the amazing people who came to our switch on with their kids getting a wee selection box.

*A special thank you to each and everyone of those who donated to support our aim to raise money for a great cause. We smashed it and we are so very grateful and humbled.

* Strawberry Corner Garden Centre deserve a massive thanks. As the guys there have been kindly donating lights and other outdoor decorations to help grow our display.

Hopefully see you end of this year, for what we try and do a bigger and better display.

💡 THE LIGHTS ARE FIXED 💡

HUGE THANK YOU, to our friend the electrician Bhoyd.

We were absolutely devastated when the issue was discovered meaning we couldn’t switch them on, but to have them fixed now we are delighted 🤩!!

Pinkie Avenue Musselburgh. 5pm until 9pm for the month of December they’ll be on.

We are over the moon with the reactions and compliments for our display this year.

1st year raising money for our close to heart charity. And it’s going so well. We are truly humbled 🫶🏼!

Due to unforeseen wiring issue our light switch on will be restricted,if you pass and they are off please feel free to chap the door and we will switch them on for you,hopefully this is a temporary measure and our electrician can get it sorted soon.

We are so sorry to disappoint anyone but safety comes first.

HUGE THANK YOU CHRISTINE!!

Christine is one of our neighbours. She along with the other residents of pinkie love our display.

Christine has spent a bit of her time to make these lovely cakes for us to hand out along with the selection boxes we have for the youngsters.

One side for Marie Curie for mum, the other side for dad, he loves trucks, especially the Christmas Coca Cola one.

This big guy 🎅 stands at 4ft.

My father and I drove just over a 5 hour round trip to pick him up from outskirts of Aberdeen.

Originally he come from Dorset 15 years ago. As you all know Santa gets about.

Coming along to see our display, your kids are more than welcome for a picture with him.

These hard plastic Santa’s and Snowmen are called blow molds. Very big in America, and to be honest there’s a few folk in the UK who have massive collections of them.

We only have a small amount of these, but in the hopes to make our collection of them bigger over the years. THESE ARE MY FAVOURITE. The older brother loves the silhouettes more.

We are trying to use our display this year to raise funds for a great cause.
Marie Curie nurses at Edinburgh western general hospital. For their outstanding work and support they gave OUR MUM while she battled cancer for the last 11 months.

🎅 Switch on of the lights is always on the 1st of December 💡

We usually have the lights on every night from around 5pm until 9pm latest.

This year 2023 we have a special guest coming along for one night only on the 1st.
