We can't believe it's been 13 years since we first stepped behind the decks to bring you the sounds we love as SOUL 45. This year has been a journey of resetting the concept and finding a new home, a fresh residency, but the passion for vinyl and the community that's grown around it has never wavered.

From the early days of dreaming big to the challenges of navigating the ever-changing music industry, every month we showed our dedication. 100s of shows. 1000s of people!!! Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. Here's to many more years of good music and good times!

Thanks to the city that keeps on giving! We had such a good night on Friday and It means a lot to us that you make the extra effort to come out. Being independent for years, we appreciate that people still want to party with us, especially since we're the only regular vinyl club night in town!! There's a world of difference between djing on a busy street with loads of people bar crawling and creating your own dedicated event where people come to see you. Having a venue like Papillon feels extra special, and we can't wait to do it again

We're back on November 8th with the our good pal DJ Richio Suzuki from South London's Soul Train and back with us for another show! Get ready for another unforgettable night.

Southampton crew! We’re back at Papillon on October 11th, armed with two turntables, stacks of vinyl and a class soundsystem ready to rumble. Whether you're vibing at the bar or throwing down on the dance floor, the tunes are funky, it’s soulful and it feels good.

Sorry to say but the The Allergies show has been postponed. We wish them the best and hope their singer Marietta gets well. We will be announcing a new date for March 2025. So we hope you can still come. All the love to The Brook.

Hi guys, we’re very sorry to say that we have had to postpone this week’s shows in Southampton and The Isle of Wight. Our lovely singer Marietta Smith has totally lost her voice, with suspected laryngitis.

In the interest of wanting to give you guys exactly what you were expecting, we have made the tough call to push the shows back to March next year. We realise this will have a knock on effect on your plans and the venue, but we just can’t do it without her.

Your tickets will be valid for the next show, or you can get a refund if you can’t make the date. But we really hope you’ll consider coming to the rescheduled show to support us and the venues. The venues should be in touch with the rescheduled dates and more info. And we’ll be posting more about that next week.

We’re very sorry and in all the years we’ve been doing this we’ve never had to cancel a show. But we just need our Marietta well again!

You asked, and they answered! Due to popular demand, The Allergies are back in Southampton with a new album and yes the legendary Ugly Duckling rapper, Andy Cooper, is joining them on stage!

We've does a handful of shows with these guys already and they are awesome! Catch this phenomenal band with us this Thursday night at The Brook. Get down early as we will be spinning vinyl to set the vibe before the they kick off. Don't miss this one folks.

Djing at the docks! 🚢 Amazing to play in parts of Southampton that are normally shut off to the public. We had a great time for Music in The City alongside 300 artists and bands performing city wide with a multi venue showcase.

(12-2pm)for a block party set, waterside at dock 110 on Western Ave🌊

Sunday 29th: Catch us at The Dancing Man Brewery
(1:30-3pm) for full on bass heavy set of funky beats and brews on Town Quay 🍻

What a night! 💥 We had an absolute blast playing our first set at Good Things on Friday. The newly installed MasterSounds gear was a nice setup. 🎧 The vibe was cool for us, and it was so refreshing to dig deep into our collections without needing to play any hits or classics. We just wrapped up a brilliant summer season, playing 7 festivals and 10 different events! Vinyl on the road has challenges. Decks, mixers, sound systems – they’re all different. Tech issues, feedback, monitoring, weight, needle adjustments... it’s never plug and play.

Add in sun, wind, rain, and it’s a whole new level of djing. However, nothing beats playing to a live audience and we got every dj set off without a hitch. It’s raw, it’s real and it's a connection we couldn't replicate digitally. Huge thanks to every promoter, sound engineer and stage manager at each festival who made this summer incredible. We’re grateful for the repeat bookings and the chance to meet with people through the music we spin once again.

What is next? We're kicking the autumn season off with two special gig starting with DJ Format on the 20th at Good Things and The Allergies live on 3rd October at The Brook

We got lucky at the Mucky Weekender Festival! With two sets in the woods and Johnny's Rockstar tent, the vibes were electric, the party was amazing and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home.

Shoutout to the amazing sound crew who helped us seamlessly transition between stages. Vinyl life isn't always easy, but moments like these make it all worth it. A huge thank you to the organisers Barry Ashworth Dub Pistols for creating such a special atmosphere. Hope to see you next year! 😎
